I can't believe you lost 2 people because you wouldn't let them slide. That's just unreal. They are going to have a rude awakening at the next place who does the same thing you are. Good grief!!! I'm sorry. I would suggest having it in your contract or whatever you do that fees are due on the (blank) day of each month and for every day they are late it's an additional $10 or $25 bucks or something like that. If they go more then 7 days past due they are out of there. I know you are afraid to lose people, but you also want to set a standard. You don't want people who can afford to pay you. Like you said, you have a family to care for. Make some fliers and go out and get some more kids whose parents can pay. Hang in there.
