| I feel your pain... I had a cat on the C/D. I think it cost us about $26 for a 10lb bag of the dry stuff. Have you checked into Hi-Tor's Felo Diet? At one point in time I worked at a pet store and from what I understood their formulas can be compared to SD, but it costs a fraction of the price! |

| Any Petsmart that has a Banfield Animal Hospital inside sells perscription food. Go and see what they charge and then go to your vet and tell them. The chances are pretty high that they will match the price ( it will probobly be about 10% cheaper) mine did. My Gracie was canine I/D for a while and my vet matched the Petsmart price. Of course now she is on even more expensive food , Royal Canin IVD - Limited Ingrediants to the tune $65.00 a month, ouch.

No Longer a Member | Gizmo has been on I/D for months and always will be. The cans at the vet are 1.50 each. Haven't found it cheaper yet. For us, 6 cans a week are still much cheaper than 250.00 to 500.00 a pop for the HGE and pancreatitis attacks. Counting our blessings. Good luck in your search and please post if you find something online. |

| Yes, please post if you find something online that's cheaper than the vet. Mine are also on Hills Prescription because of skin allergies - costs me $20 per 8 pound bag!!!

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Seems like there are alot of us out there whether is be for our dogs or for our cats. The prices are crazy. If I was smart I'd duplicate the food and start my own business! Of course and only charge half of what these crazy people sell it for. My vet ordered me 2 cases of canned food for my cat and 2 10 pound bags. I bet this is going to cost me an arm and a leg. I just wish we could find another option. |
