I feel your pain... I had a cat on the C/D. I think it cost us about $26 for a 10lb bag of the dry stuff.

Have you checked into Hi-Tor's Felo Diet? At one point in time I worked at a pet store and from what I understood their formulas can be compared to SD, but it costs a fraction of the price!
