Couldn't agree with you more. My b/f and I have been dating for almost a year now and we have yet to go to a restaurant that doesn't require reservations and nice clothes. When we want to relax, he cooks for me or I cook for him. But when we go out it's all great and fancy and there has never been an expectation on my end. He's NEVER let me use a single penny towards anything. He even takes me clothes/grocery shopping. I'm not materialistic by any means, because I do a lot of nice things for him as well, like cook, help him with his laundry, help his parents if they need something and he's not around, ect. But point is that young guys, you have to hint at the things you want, with older, (sometimes anyway, I don't want to generalize) they just know and are more considerate.

Well of course they are thinking about it, but there's a difference between thinking or wishing and expecting. If my b/f EXPECTED something, he would be out the door. The difference is a guy who expects gets in a pissy mood when he doesn't get what he wnats at the end of the night or becomes a 5 year old kid. So I don't think a man is a man, it's more a difference between a boy and a man. A real man doesn't expect it but appreciates and enjoys whatever happens and still has a good attitude if nothing happens.

That's what I would do personally. I ran into that problem as well, and I think it's just dating younger guys is really what gets you in the game playing. When I met my b/f, who's 6 years older than me, so he's in his early 30's, the first thing he told was NO GAMES. He said, no waiting 4 days for the other person to call, or waiting for one person to say something or invite the person somewhere. He was like, both of us are great people and can date whomever we want but we choose to be together so let's not play with that, cause if games get involved, I don't want to be part of it. I couldn't have said it better myself, I was always the one having those talks with other guys, so I loved that he was just like me. When you meet the right person, games won't be an issue. well, the first date i had, my b/f was afraid to touch me,,, thats because
the days before, just on the phone, i warned him.... more than once.. just felt like i had too,, i was scared to to death,,, im shy when in person..so thats why i did it that way.. actually still shy,,,

Kristy, everyone has given you great advice already -- so I won't bug you with anymore. All I want to say if from what I've seen from you (just over the internet), you're a very smart, level-headed girl. And from the pictures I've seen, you're beautiful too. You've got a lot to offer a guy and any guy would be lucky to have you. Just remember ... this guy isn't doing you any favors. HE is lucky to have a girl like you interested in him. If he's playing games with your emotions or being fickle, drop him. Once you do, he'll either say screw her and move on or he'll realize his mistake, change his way and apologize to you. You're too good to be treated this way. YOU know you're worth something ... now it's time for HIM to know it.
