prayers are needed
Some of you know that I when I was pregnant with this baby, i was stuck in the hospital on bedrest for about a little over a month, I ended up having my baby girl a month early.
She was in the NICU for 2 weeks on the ventilator, she had RDS (respiratory distress syndrome) and PDA (patent ductus arteriosus).. and was able to go home after the 2 weeks.
well just a few days ago, i found a lump on her when i was changing her, and i touched it, it didnt seem to cause her any pain, so i thought maybe i'll wait to see if it goes away.. well it didn't, but no one else noticed it.. like my parents, or my boyfriend or his parents when changing her..
but i still noticed it, so i scheduled an appt.. and my boyfriend and i were hoping it wasn't a hernia or a cyst.. but when he saw her, he also wasn't sure what it was, so sent us to the hospital to get an ultrasound..
we got there, and did the ultrasound and she indeed has a hernia, thankfully its not her intestines.. but her ovary.. so they sent us home..
the day after, she was just so much more fussier than usual, i thought it was because they were poking at her hernia for the longest time, that she was in so much pain,so we took her to the ER.. and waited for 4 hours, almost 5 if i hadn't said anything lol.. with nothing!! no pain meds or anything.. just a she's okay.. see your surgeon on Monday.
luckily the surgeon's office had called me and said i could come in today.. i was so nervous because i was hoping she'd say that she could correct the hernia by just pushing it back in.. but nope..
so My 1 month old preemie baby will be undergoing surgery.. even though she only has one hernia.. they are going to be operating on both ovaries so that they don't become a hernia again in the future.. she said she'll still be able to have children, but this is genetic and most likely if i have another daughter it will happen to her as well.. which is SO odd because no one in my family has had this happen to them..
i know its not my fault.. but it really sucks that my baby has to go through so much pain in just barely the first few months of her life. she's a fighter i know.. and im just in need of prayers right now.. for her and for me and my sanity..
everything is just so overwhelming right now.. so prayers are kindly appreciated.. thanks for reading.

I am so sorry. I've been following your posts since you were pregnant. My baby girl is still in my tummy but we'll both be praying for you and your little girl. I'm so glad that you noticed it, and I'm mad at the emergency room for taking forever. Our emergency room takes a long time as well, but under 2 years old gets priority, and she's way under 2. Anyways, I really hope all goes well. Please keep us updated. Do you have any pics of her you can post?
We'll definately be thinking about you.

I will keep your baby and you in my daily prayers. That is so much for a little one and a new mom to have to go through. You sound like a very strong person who will come out of this even stronger.
