I totally agree with you! I feel the problem alot of the time is, children are being raised by children! Everywhere you go theres sex, sex sells! and it's really really sad! you go to a grocery store and you see sex, you turn on the TV and you see sex, and then theres the online sex problem, what the crap is up with all this??
We as parents have to teach are children, male and female to respect others as we would want to be respected! I feel it's not right for men to act like pigs but on the other hand it's not right for young girls to act 10 years older then they really are.
Then you cant even go to a store and buy a pair of shorts without them being so short, your arse cheeks are hanging out, then the young girls around here buy the tank tops 2 sizes to small to make there breast look bigger, then today we took my children and my neice and nephew to the beach and I was ashamed to be there, I seen women and teens wearing white tank tops with no bra into the water!!! UMmm hello??? you could see everything they have. Or this one was wearing a bikini that the top was 2 sizes to small and she mise well have worn nothing at all. So IMO thats giving the men something to gawk about, what? the men are suppose to walk around with there eyes shut? I mean come on, there only human, when I see a hot guy without his shirt on and he has a nice chest, hell ya I'm gonna look, cause I'm only human. We cant go blaming it on the men when the women give them something to stare at.
and as for going to the store in sweats and a ball cap, well alot of men find that very sexy, when I wear a baseball hat, my husband cant keep his hands to himself, it's something about a woman in a hat, just like when a woman drives a big truck, it drives the men wild!

I remember in 7th and 8th grade, walking home from school, in my catholic school uniform (!) and men (not teenagers) would whistle and yell at me! at 12 and 13 years of age!! Can you believe that!
I was a very naive and innocent child, and this was very disturbing to me. I didn't like that kind of attention. I didn't start wearing revealing clothes until I was a lot older, just because I hated that attention.

I agree. Beauty today is pushed as how slutty and revealing you can dress. Young girls today look like prostitutes. I am sorry to use these words, but that is what I see.

This is not something new, I was that sexy 16 yrs old too.... Boys, Men look! period...This is human nature. Even tho I agree some girls today dress provacative, but hey I remember wearing short shorts and halter tops too. Just don't over do it and ignore them. This is part of being young and in shape. Guys will always be around to whistle at girls.

Men WILL always look - but I think men should draw the line at a child vs teens - Most girls 14 and up already know what's up ...but 12 year olds do not ....and they shouldn't have to deal with that at that age. In my opinion any man whistling and gawking at very young kids has a problem

I've dealt with looks & stares all my life .....& still do. I'll say this in al honesty ...I'll be depressed when they STOP gawking

Ok i'm gonna tell ya all something since we don't see eachother on here i have to explain. I am a 36 DDD and let me tell you i hate stupid men who look at my chest and not my face! it's so funny cause i am very outspoken and confrontational i always call them on it like umm hello are you staring at my boobs? they get so embarresed. Men are pigs sex is all they think about. No one in my family has any boobs small b cups at most i don't know where my bowling balls came from but they are ridiculously huge i hate them sometimes. But you all have to admit when we're in a jam it's nice that men are pigs ex.. getting out of a ticket getting free drinks all sorts of things.

but with television now adays, 8 year olds KNOW what's up

I mean look at how much younger kids mature now adays

It starts with personal responsiblity - I agree that shorts can be cool without being too short or too tight. In all honesty, loose fitting clothing is cooler than tight clothes. I see no need for tank tops or spaghetti straps. As young ladies and mothers, we set the standards. Those men were once some mother's little boy. The young girls that are getting ogled are still some mother's daughter. We must be their examples, their mentors and their guardian. Proper dress should not be governed by styles but decency. Behaviour should not be modeled from television programs but the Bible. And it must be taught at home.
