| Calling all people who have t-mobile and/or the Sidekick 3 Ok.. i've been debating about switching over to t-mobile and getting the sidekick. I used to have it, but when i got my Verizon LG VX9800 it was similar so i thought why bother having two. well i've had my lg phone now for 9 months now, and am really wanting to change my phone. I really miss my sidekick because it had features onit i could really use. (ie. AIM - with verizon i have to pay per message and it doesn't really show your whole buddylist, its sort of a mini planner. it has this really cute to do list (which let me tell u if ididnt write down what i needed to do, my day would be totally messed up lol).. and a lot of neat features i know i'd benefit from than my phone now. but i was wondering if anyone knows what a hotspot is? because im going to order it online, i saw this option under internet and e-mail and i'm like huh? i know in ordering the sidekick it comes with this package already Sidekick Unlimited With Sidekick Unlimited service, you'll enjoy unlimited e-mail, AOL® Instant Messenger™ Service (AIM®), Web browsing, and text messaging but under it, theres an option for t-mobile hotspot: HotSpot T-Mobile HotSpot provides unlimited high-speed wireless Internet access in public locations including Starbucks, Borders, FedEx Kinko's, and airports. HotSpot is available for Wi-Fi enabled laptops, PDAs, or smartphones. $19.99 per month but what exactly is that? and do i need it? since the sidekick unlimited package has web browsing, or is this different? thanks in advanced. |

| Well, I think it has something to do with being able to go online on your phone if you're at Starbucks or whatever. Sounds pretty neat! Maybe you can go on YT with it

| I LOVE Tmobile. I have had it for almost 4 years now. PLUS>>> I love that T mobile lets you get all the new offers without a hassle. if you are under contract for one thing... you can SWITCH to get any new or better deals . You just have to agree to start your year from the day you get the new stuff. Everytime a little something better comes along I get it. I have a family plan that gives me 1500 minutes for $69.99 and i got to pick ANY 2 phones I wanted...YES I SAID ANY. I picked pink razors and this was when they were $300 each. Plus they gave me 1 month FREE, plus i get unlimited text and pictures for EVERY member of my family for $9.99 TOTAL for everybody each month. Not per person. The BIG PLUS... Is that the customer service is AWESOME. if you get Tmobile .. call DIRECT to Tmobile to set up service. You get WAY better deals then in the stores. STORES may give you stuff like PhONE CASES for free but you can wrangle lots better stuff from the direct Tmobile number. I find if you hem and haw and say TOO MUCH maybe later... they offer ou MORE stuff for your money.......LOL Also let them start by offering you the freebie phones and them keep going until they ask YOU what phone you want and then they will give it to you or only charge you like HALF what the stores do

| I have the Sidekick 3, I got it a week before it actually hit stores because I was already an existing customer...Anyway SK3 is just like the SK2 give & take on a few features, the camera is still crappie. To me all they've done is added new graphics on the screen made the phone a little slimmer, changed the color, and added a MP3 player which eats the heck out of you battery when you use it. All in all it's a good phone but it's the same to me, I wish I would have waited till the price dropped a little because it's nothing special. Good luck with your phone. |

when it first came out.. with all the hype about the phone, v-cast etc.. it was cool.. but ive come to the conclusion that i dont like it as much as i used too.. 1) its a great looking sturdy phone 2) love the "QWERTY" board. 3) mp3 player is nice, great sound quality 4) has some useless features like.. it can read your text messages outloud (but misspronounces most of the words) 5) v-cast is alright but not good cause its $15 a month just so you can buy videos for $3.99 and up 6) for the text message length only fits 150 characters then it resets and sends a new message (which sometimes the receiving party doesnt get all the messages 7) you cant really go on the web, only phone versions like ebay, cause it doesnt have enough memory 8)you have to pay 20 bux a month tp get e-mail.. whereas the sidekick its all included 9) AIM suck cause every message you send counts as a text (sucks cause it eats up all your texts), and doesnt even show your whole buddylist. overall i enjoyed using the phone.. didnt care for the other features though..but it is a good phone dont get mewrong.. but i just dont like it anymore. ive had it since october of 2005, | |
