Default Calling all people who have t-mobile and/or the Sidekick 3

Ok.. i've been debating about switching over to t-mobile and getting the sidekick. I used to have it, but when i got my Verizon LG VX9800 it was similar so i thought why bother having two.

well i've had my lg phone now for 9 months now, and am really wanting to change my phone. I really miss my sidekick because it had features onit i could really use. (ie. AIM - with verizon i have to pay per message and it doesn't really show your whole buddylist, its sort of a mini planner. it has this really cute to do list (which let me tell u if ididnt write down what i needed to do, my day would be totally messed up lol).. and a lot of neat features i know i'd benefit from than my phone now.

but i was wondering if anyone knows what a hotspot is? because im going to order it online, i saw this option under internet and e-mail and i'm like huh?

i know in ordering the sidekick it comes with this package already
Sidekick Unlimited
With Sidekick Unlimited service, you'll enjoy unlimited e-mail, AOL® Instant Messenger™ Service (AIM®), Web browsing, and text messaging

but under it, theres an option for t-mobile hotspot:
HotSpot
T-Mobile HotSpot provides unlimited high-speed wireless Internet access in public locations including Starbucks, Borders, FedEx Kinko's, and airports. HotSpot is available for Wi-Fi enabled laptops, PDAs, or smartphones. $19.99
per month

but what exactly is that? and do i need it? since the sidekick unlimited package has web browsing, or is this different?

thanks in advanced.
