| How about this Opportunity? I think I'm going to take a new job opportunity. I have only been working weekend overnights for a little over a month now and have a really hard time with it. It's just really hard on my health (especially trying to sleep during the day and when it's hot out) and my relationship, and of course my poor Trixie. I just can't do it much longer, and there is no end in sight at that company. Now today I've been offered an opportunity in a different field with a small company that's about to take off. It's not as solid as the company that I work for now, I'd be working kind of as a fulltime freelancer. But it will also give me A LOT more freedom. I'd be learning tons, be more flexible in my work hours and best of all: Trixie will be able to come to the office with me!!!! The guy I'd be working for LOVES her. He already bought a pet bed for her and some treats... And she gets to run around a big office and a fenced in yard all day while I'm working. I'm even more excited for her than for me I'm a little scared to take the plunge, because I'd be doing something completely different and I hope I can live up to the expectations. But that's how we improve and grow in life, right?

| I think it sounds like a great opportunity and adventure. I always tell myself there isn't anything I can't do if I try hard enough and most of the time it works. Good luck in your new position!!!

You are correct - sometimes you just have to jump in with both feet and not look back. I'm sure you will do great. It really sounds like a wonderful opportunity. Good luck!

| Sounds like a great opportunity. I'd LOVE to be able to take Sadie to work with me. It just sounds like a positive thing all the way around.

| I would go for it! Four years ago i left a management position in a fortune 500 company to work for my fiance. He builds homes & wanted me to run the office & sale his homes because he was thinking about buying out his then partner. I went from working in an office with literally thousands of people to being all by my self. It was definately an adjustment the first year, but now I couldn't imagine life any other way. I get to bring Snickers to work with me & if the kids need to be picked up/ dropped off to their activities then its no problem. No fighting for a vacation day off, & scheduling doc appts. is much easier. The only downfall that I have found is that when you work for yourself is that when you do take a vacation or something, the work just sits there for you until you get home. If this new job seems like something that you would enjoy doing, then go for it! |

| Thanks guys. I would be able to pay the bills with this new opportunity. My husband is going to have to pick up the health insurance though, and I'm a little nervous about that. I've always been the one with the solid job. He's always been more impulsive; if he doesn't like his job anymore, he'll quit. And obviously he won't be able to do that now! It's going to be a great opportunity for me to learn a new field and also learn about myself! Thanks for the imput.

| I would say go for it!! You at least have more flexible time and the best part is you can bring your baby to work with you!! It may be scary at first but think of how exciting it will be to learn something new and different. . Good luck with any decision you make either way I know you will do great!! |

| I have officially taken the 'job'... I like to see it more as a big project! Now all I have to do is tell my boss of one month that I won't be working there anymore after this week...
