I think I'm going to take a new job opportunity. I have only been working weekend overnights for a little over a month now and have a really hard time with it. It's just really hard on my health (especially trying to sleep during the day and when it's hot out) and my relationship, and of course my poor Trixie. I just can't do it much longer, and there is no end in sight at that company.
Now today I've been offered an opportunity in a different field with a small company that's about to take off. It's not as solid as the company that I work for now, I'd be working kind of as a fulltime freelancer. But it will also give me A LOT more freedom. I'd be learning tons, be more flexible in my work hours and best of all: Trixie will be able to come to the office with me!!!! The guy I'd be working for LOVES her. He already bought a pet bed for her and some treats... And she gets to run around a big office and a fenced in yard all day while I'm working. I'm even more excited for her than for me
I'm a little scared to take the plunge, because I'd be doing something completely different and I hope I can live up to the expectations. But that's how we improve and grow in life, right?
