| What makes a great YT'er I've been on this site now for a couple of months. I have created some threads and have responded to many. I thought it might be fun for all the newbies like me to know your thoughts on what makes a great YT'er. I'll start with some of my observations .. must have the time to check in once a week and have a good sense of humor

| Once a week Once a day or at least twice a week. Sense of humor definitely!! And if you come to ask question cause your baby is sick or something is wrong, then don't leave us hanging....let us know they are ok!! I read some of these posts and just worry for the little guys and then I never know if they are okay Also, love, love the reviews on stuff and where to find it for less. For example: Cowboy Magic...I love it and would never know about it if it weren't for the reviews. Also, they're are some really really helpful and just downright sweethearts on this site. Nicole is absolutely wonderful, as is Villette and many many more on here...always willing to go above and beyond!! I also love the baby pics, everyone that is new should post pics

| 1. Checking in at least every other day!! I know I spend at least an hour daily! 2. A sense of humor is a must. 3. Please be respectful with your posts, even if you don't agree. 4. If you have some help to offer, please respond even if you've responded to similar threads before. It takes some time to figure out how to use all the aspects of this site and many people just don't think to search first. 5. Post OFTEN. It is so nice to "get to know" folks through their posts. 6. Post photos as often as possible. I love to see those babies. 7. Keep posting reviews of products. I have bought many things because of these posts. 8. Become a donating member to keep this site running.

| If you ask for advice or opinions, don't get upset if what you get is not what you wanted to hear. Sometimes the truth is hard to digest. |

| this is a great post! i agree with everything that has been said. i would also add: have a little patience with us newbies i understand that it is frustrating to keep responding to the same questions, but it does take a while to access all the wonderful information here! tucker is my first yorkie and i kinda got him by accident so i knew nothing from the breeder- only from the previous owners. he was 3 months old and this site has been a lifesaver!!! thank you!!! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | CUTE thread !! Let's see....I'll try to come out of my shell and post a few comments.....it's gonna be hard though NOT ~! To be a good YT member - Don't be SHY !! We love meeting new people here Check in MORE than once a week even if you've SEEN the same post over and over - TRY to say something encouraging.... We all had to start as Newbies...and for myself personally - I try to always remember how I felt as a beginner on sites..... If we see pictures posted - TRY to say something - each person who wants to share their yorkie took the time to learn how to post the pics - we should take a second to comment....(besides - there's SO MANY Cuties here it's easy to say something nice !! and LuvtheCooper...thank you for the nice words ! and lol Nicole...keep posting girl ! |

| I think to be a good member of YT you need too: 1.) Check in daily so many things happen if you don't 2.) Don't take things personally (Jeanie hit the nail on the head) 3.) Be proud of the fact that you found a place to go and talk about how much you love your Yorkie and we all feel the same way 4.) Understand that not everyone is as Yorkie savvy as you may be but they have come here to learn and how cool is that?

What I like most about YT is the lack of a perfect YTer. Everyone offers something different. I like people who are knowledgeable. I like people who argue. I like people who ask questions. I like people who are nice. You just never know what the next post is going to offer. That's what I like about YT.
