Should we start a thread on what we've used that hasn't worked so far. Sign me up for most of what Avon has to offer even their answer to laser, botox,(didn't work for me). I was prepared to try some stuff from HSN made with Lotus flowers, talked myself out of that one. I've used an OTC chemical peel, that has been Okay. Now, here is the good one, the face shocker, has anyone else tried it?

LMAO ! The face SHOCKER ? What the HECK is THAT ? I'd be scared to even read the label on that one

Let me see...The products I used and would never buy again - Neutragena Healthy Skin ...ROC with Retin A (yeah right - like a millionth of a gram) and Loreal Wrinkle Defense...The only defense it provided was ME reaching into my wallet for a 2nd tube

The face shocker, that's the one my husband and sons laugh the most at. And, I know why, your face looks and is very contorted while your doing this one. Surely you've seen the infomercials. The hand held device that emits low voltage electric shocks to certain muscles (instructions provided) in your face, thus exercising them and tightening the underlying muscle structure of your face, making you look years younger, and all for only 4 easy payments of $29.95. Now this one works somewhat, my face does feel tighter and sags a little less, but it takes alot of time, too much.

OMGosh I HAVE seen those commercials - I just never knew anyone that actually TRIED it - and I'm with your hubby and sons...LOL - Sorry !

That just sounds TOO electric for me .... but I loved the 4 easy payments comment...thing is ....THAT sounds painful too !

I totally forgot to mention OLAY Products - WHAT HYPE ! they sure got the market on Advertising don't they ? Showing women under 35 claiming to have no wrinkles - Well - DUH !! Most people don't at that age.

I've tried just about everything, i'm that gullible. Yeah, I didn't even start on the Olay products and others. I even saw a 20/20 show with a dermatologist/chemical engineers, etc. stating how all of the new, expensive creams are just hype and that anything you use to provide moisture and a barrier to keep the moisture in will provide some temporary results and improvement. Even lard!! Yikes. I could see my face breaking out now. Thats the beauty of this problem, fine lines and such, but still breakouts, its a helluva time.

* Olive oil is the best solution for chapped lips. It does wonders to your lips.

* To have beautiful, lustrous, shiny, silky and dandruff free hair, olive oil is the best bet. You can apply good amount of oil on your hair and cover it with a shower cap for 30 minutes, later shampoo it.

* It is great moisturizing solution which makes your skin softer and smoother.




* To make yourself an interesting bathing solution you can add 3-4 tbsp of olive oil with a few drops of essential oil.

* You can make an excellent night cream by using 1/2 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/4 cup water. This helps to lighten your skin, kill bacteria and makes your skin smooth and clear.

* It can work as a cleansing cream if you have dry skin. Apply olive oil and then scrub with good amount of sugar. Later, wipe the sugar off your face with wet and warm cloth. One of the easiest ways to get facial done.

* Soften your feet by applying olive oil on your feet.

* Mix in bowl 1 egg, 1 tsp honey, 1/2 tsp olive oil and few drops of rose water. Use this as a mask for dry skin. Once applied keep it for sometime, later rinse it off with warm water. Dab it dry.

* Make a paste by mixing some mashed apricots and warm olive oil. Apply this paste all over your face and leave it for 10 minutes. Wash it off with water.

OK Helen - I'm sitting here this morning with Olive Oil in my hair -

Is it really hypocrital of me to be using EXTRA VIRGIN Oil ?Do you think it'll make all my hair fall out ?

Ok....So far - I see VERY OILY hair but alot of curl came back (my hair is dry) I BET this would be GREAT For Cotton Coated Yorkies too.....like...my Chanel ?

See - I may have learned something from you Helen and I haven't been struck down using the VIRGIN oil ! hehe
