| I wouldn't have even offered her the money. I would have found out where she got it and replaced it. My kids are very well behaved but I used to hate going to someone's house that didn't have kids. I was too nervous!

| And offering the money, some people on here said that you shouldn't have gotten your feelings hurt because she took it, well some people don't understand that offering the money in this case is a Southern thing (in my perspective). No one in the South would actually take the money, it is considered a peace offering to offer it, but NO ONE usually accepts it. I am just irritated about the judgemental posts that this thread got, sorry. |

I was born and raised in Maryland which I am sure most Southerners wouldn't consider the South (and I don't either), and I wouldn't take the money I agree with you it's a peace offering but I would not take my friends money.
