This is great news.... I've been following all the posts of yours and Kathryn's. Just curious.... how are you getting the new baby? Are you traveling to California? You're in New York, right? I just couldn't imagine flying this tiny thing anywhere. If you ARE traveling, how exciting!

I'm going to fly to Palm Springs International Airport and meet Kathryn and her family! I think it's important that Kathryn meets me in person because it's going to be very hard for her to part with China. I want to reassure her in person that I will take the very best care of her little girl. Plus, I would never dream of shipping her all by her cute little self ... she'd be so scared! And this way I can sneak her out of the carrier and cuddle her in a blanket the entire flight. And we'll also have that private time to bond before she comes home and meets Jim, Codie and Tia.

HOW EXCITING! Jen, I'm so excited for you! Funny, I am happy that China stays "in the family" - the YT family, haha! It sounds so funny that I'm thinking that but I will look forward to seeing lots of pictures of her and also with Codie and Tia too!

That's so great! To get a new baby AND fly to personally pick her up. Of course you should cuddle her all the way home. Nobody would even realize you have anything - you can just slip her in your pocket if need be! I'm not real big on chi's personally but that picture of her with the food on her face is just stuck in my head. She's a cutie patootie! Can't wait to see all the stories about her when you finally get her!

I know what you mean! My mother-in-law met one nippy, mean Chi when she was a teenager. Since then, she doesn't like Chi's. But come on ... it was only one dog!! It's not fair to single out an entire breed because of one incident with one dog!! I told her I was getting China and she was excited for me but not as excited when I got Codie, Tia and Katie (rest in peace my beloved baby). Well ya know what ... that just means more puppy kisses for MEEEEEEEE! I know that I'll have to fight Jim over that because he's become such a MUSH with our babies ... he's always smooching Tia and Codie!

I generally am not a Chi lover nor actually a dog lover and still am . . .only YORKIES for me as I don't see them as "dogs"

. . . but Tiger has a wonderful chi classmate and his mommy and I are starting to get to know each other more, as with our babies. We go for walks sometimes and Chachi is the most adorable chihuahua . . . he's not a yapper and very timid . . . so he's okay . . . I am hoping that his mommy will be able to care for my babies when I go on a 2 weeks vacation out of the country in the fall!
