| Please read this!!! Google Phone#'s Google implemented a new feature where you type someone's telephone number into the search bar, hit enter and then you're given a map to their house. Everyone should be aware of this! Note that you can have your phone number removed or blocked. Before forwarding this, my friend tested it by typing her phone number in google.com. Her phone number came up, and when she clicked on the Map Quest link, it actually mapped out where she lives. Quite scary. Check out your own number Read below for details. Think about it--if a child, ANYONE gives out his/her phone number, someone can actually now look it up to find out where he/she lives. The safety issues are obvious, and alarming. In order to test whether your phone number is mapped, go to: http://www.google.com/ Type your phone number in the search bar (i.e. 555-555-1212) and hit enter. If you would like to have your PhoneBook listing removed, you can do so using our PhoneBook Removal Form www.google.com/intl/en/help/pbremoval.html Removal takes 48-hours. If you have an unlisted number, you may not be in there, but it's a good idea to check. If your number does come up if you hit map, it will show you a direct map to your house...

Donating YT 10K Club Member | It's not a new feature, and it's not limited to google. Reverse lookup does the same thing. Matter of fact, you can go to your library and use an actual reverse lookup phone book. The internet has just saved you a trip is all. You can also just google a name and a state. If your address is listed in your local phone book...the information is going to show up because the information is culled from telephone directories. Have the address, then it's easy to get directions from mapquest.

| That is scary, especially when people give their phone number when listing puppies for sale. I guess just listing an email address would be best. Or a cell phone. |
