| I rarely use the cell phone while driving. My Husband is a courier and uses his all day.

Throw in biscuit eating....there's multi tasking at it's best....driving, eating, talking, and reading....all at the same time. I wonder why people worry about teen age drivers???

I would be lost w/o it b/c I have 3 small kids and it never fails if I leave the house w/o it something happens. But Im very caucious(sp) when I use it.

| Yes, I do sometimes when I am driving in the suburbs. It is illegal to talk and drive in Chicago proper. I got rearended in my brand new car by a "kid" who was talking on his phone in his brand new car. I reamed him and kept going. Women are far better at talking and driving than men. I think it's OK as long as you aren't having a serious or emotional conversation.

| My Yukon has a built in phone with speaker in the console on the ceiling between the two seats in front. All you have to do is push a button to answer a call and it turns down the radio and everything for you - pretty cool and yes, alittle lazy, but very safe. I have used my other phone though on occassion if I am in my husband truck, but I use the speaker feature on it most of the time or the hands free set or sometimes I pull over - it just depends. I have seen people swerving all over the place and when I finally can pass them, they are on their phone - course, I have seen this happening when people are driving and putting on their makeup, reading (yes, reading and driving) or doing something else - CRAZY!!!

| In New Jersey,it is against the law to talk on a hand held cell phone. You can talk as long as your phone is on speaker or you have on a headset. Some people ignore the law and I have almost been hit 3 times by women on their phones.

| I talk on my bluetooth headset if i'm ever on the phone while driving, that was because I was driving stick shift and i hated shifting, turning a corner and talking/laughing at the same time. but i mean there are some people that can multi-task. i've learned to do this because as a nurse you've got to multi-task! but people that cannot drive and talk at the same time should either invest in a headset or just pull over or not talk on the phone at all! I think Talking on a cellphone is like talking to a passenger in your car. I talk to whoever's riding with me with NO problems, i don't see how it's different (maybe holding the actual phone).. but i don't know.. Its sad to see a lot of car accidents because of cellphone users who cannot drive responsibly and talk at the same time. |

| I am guilty of talking on my phone with driving ALL THE TIME. I'm so bad, it's like the minute I start my car my cell phone is on my ear. It's really the only time I have to talk to people since I lead a very busy life but I know it is no excuse. Actually, Washington State is trying to pass a law in January 2007 for it to be illegal to talk and drive unless you have a earbud. Both hands need to be used on the wheel while driving. I guess I am going to have to purchase another bluetooth headset so I can still talk (I returned my last one.....I hated it). Such is life I guess. Oh, btw, I can drive quite well while on the phone.
