Now that is funny I would keep your hubby away from garage sales!

We have a grill graveyard here too.
Whenever we get a new one, the old one finds it's place on the side of the house. Just incase we have a few hundred people show up.LOL
At least when we BBQ, the food is good. My husband is the cook! :D :D :D :D

A sorta different story
 
My mom gets home from work at midnight. Well, she drives up and starts honking the horn. I go outside, and to my AMAZEMENT, there's a huge @ss dog crate hanging out of her trunk. It literally looked like it can fit 2 Saint Bernards. It's filthy, covered in mud, etc.. I asked her 'Where in the world did you get this?' She told me "Oh, I was just shopping around in the neighbor's trash." I asked her who was going to use the crate since, they have 2 little dogs and my sister's pit would get lost in there, and she said "Oh, it's going to be Torch's (miniature pinscher) condo during the summertime."

Those people having the sale are dang glad he showed UP....he actually paid them for their broken junk :rolleyes:

Bought home what I believe was a genuine, first edition, 1937, Hoover vacuum....told me oh I got it for the upstairs...that thing committed suicide....it caught on fire :rolleyes: Another cost saving purchase by hubby...

Sssssh, I'll tell you something....sometimes I've thrown away his treasures...he's never even missed them ;) Couldn't do it with the grills, those were his babies :rolleyes:

There ya go...the mini thinks he's full size, right??? All the other little dogs are gonna be so jealous of his "big dog" digs :D

Speaking of scavengers... MY DAD,, when I lived in the apartment above his business, I would take things to the dumpster, thee next day I'd go in,, there it would be.. no matter what, broken fan, chair, whatever, so from then on I just started putting stuff at the bottom of the stairs FOR him, why carry it to the dumpster.. his fav. line " Nothing wrong with that."
Just bought him a Sanford and Son tshirt online, he tapes those shows, and was getting the Entire series' in the mail, I'm saving it for Fathers Day, It says " You Big Dummy" He'll love it.

I'm trying to finish the work I didn't do last night, so I'm not on much today. But you guys are killing me. Here is my story:
We had a mirror in our living room forever and after we redecorated it didn't go any longer. I threw it out. My friend JoAnne stopped and I was outside. She couldn't believe I was throwing out a perfectly good mirror.. I told her she could have it, there was nothing wrong with it, I just didn't think it matched my living room anymore. Well, fast forward about 5 years, hubby comes in from a garage sale: Hey, Joanne and Ginny were having a garage sale, look at this mirror I BOUGHT. Yup! He bought the mirror I threw out 5 years ago. Funny thing is, it matches again, new paint job and living room furniture! So, it hangs proudly on the wall and is a great conversation piece.

Joanne didn't even remember that she got it from me in the first place! We still laugh about it. Whatever he paid it was too much, I GAVE it to her.

Now that's funny. If I were your friend and you reminded ME that you GAVE me the mirror in the first place....I'd have given ya a refund....a refund or a discount...'pends how bad I needed the money :D
