| i always wanted a tattoo around my ankle, but the ankle bone hurts!!! i have 3 tattoos though........I have one on each leg (really low) a rose on one, and 2 sunflowers on the other with my boys names over it (with hubby handwriting ![]() and on my lower back I have a small butterfly that is landing on my husbands name. I really am considering one more small one..thinking a Daisy (since I already have 2 other flowers)

| Donating YT 10K Club Member | I have a tattoo on my right boob. Got it in protest of middle age at 36, did NOT stop the aging, it's an ice cone tipped over, with the top plopped out, and dripping. And it wasn't pleasant but not God awful, I can't stand it pain. Cute story re the tattoo....now I did not want my father to know I'd gotten a tattoo, my dd way younger, kept asking when it was gonna come off....like her tattoos did, finally told her it was permanent and not coming off. She said..."well, I wrote on my hand with permanent marker and it's coming off". Explained no, mine wasn't ever. So she asks...."when you get old is it still gonna be there?"....yes...."is it gonna be there when ya die?"....another yes....then with hands on her hips she proclaims...."what's Jesus gonna say when he sees it!?!?" Thought to myself....I wasn't ever worried about Jesus, just my dad ![]() PS My father did learn about my tattoo....from my brother...the 45 year old (at the time) tattle tail

| I was in my 30's when I got my first (and last!) tatoo also. I got it on my stomach and designed it myself. A couple of years later my husband took a picture of it to a tatoo artist who put a match to it on my husband's arm. ANYWAY....it hurt SOOOO BAD!!!! The guy told me mine hurt tremendously because all of the nerves to your body go to your belly button. I had pain all over! I do love it but will never get another. I wanted to get a ring tatoo also (not a wedding band though), but now will NEVER get another one because my first experience was so bad. |

I have one on my lower back right above my pant line... It has my first daughter, katies name and I am going back as soon as I have this baby to add her name, natalie, its the only one I have but I have a high pain tolerance. I had my belly button and tounge pierced at 15 but took it out when I got prego in 2002, I wanted to be more grown up.LOL! It hurts a bit but if its only a finger I think you can handle it thats a small spot to tat! | |

| My parents went out and got matching tattoos 2 years ago - my dad was 60 and my mom was 57!!! AND they got them on their ears!!! My dad's is a shamrock on his earlobe & my mom's is high up in the cartilage of her ear. It was cute...

Guess they're still protesting the age progression too Cute idea on the earlobe, love the shamrock idea, I'd get a ladybug on my cartilage but who'd ever see the dang thing?

| I've wanted a tattoo for a while, though my parents would destroy my soul if I ever got one. Plus, I have always had my sights set on a full back tattoo of a chinese brush painting, and that isn't the easiest thing in the world to just be like "ok lets do it" Here are a few pics I found of stuff I did on myself with a sharpie when I was in college. During class. I sure did learn a lot at those times. The first is a traditional chinese dragon (my arms were a lot skinnier those days) and the second is a japanese geisha on a background of waves and clouds. It is a little warped from my shwarzanegger-like bulging muscles
