| Thinking about opening an online store.. I know, I know... yet another doggie clothing webstore! I think it would be great because a lot of people I know (in my area) have NO idea about these kind of things, and would LOVE to dress their dogs up! so i think it would be a great thing and hopefully it'll be as popular as some people on here! anywho.. im looking for some names on a website.. i was originally going to use my website (yorkiegirl.com) but i didnt want to.. because i didn't want it to sound biased to only yorkies and.. girls I want something hip, funky and cute! (but unfortunately im non-creative!) i'm open to any and all ideas! |

| Well, my first thought was something about dogs in style, like www.stylishpup.com or something of that sort. Then I thought maybe using the word "dog" instead of "pup" and I thought about "www.doggiestyle.com" Then I repeated it to myself and realized that you DON'T want that name for your clothing store! LOL. You'll have another 'sort' of clientele! Sorry I am not much help but I had to share my terrible thought process today!

| I know nothing about websites - but would think that rather than trying to come up with something cute - the name of the site should be something that will come up quickly when people search for dog clothes. Something like "SmallDogClothes.com." I know it's not fancy - but the important thing is getting people to your site. Good luck! Carol Jean |

| The name you select for your website is very important. It is one of the things that search engine "spiders" use when rating your site. Ultimately, you want your site to be in the top 10 when you go to google. If, for instance you are going to specialize in clothes for small dogs, then, when you go to google search engine and type in "small dog clothes" you want your site to appear somewhere on the first page of "hits". I mention that because part of the criteria used in determining your site's placement is the relevance of the name to the site's content. So, your name should be short, sweet and simple, easy to type and remember AND it should have a direct correspondence to the information contained within the pages of your site. The more often you are able to use your site name in your page code and it have relevance to the content of the page the better you will place, and be absolutely positive that you include your site's name within the first 10 words of your meta file. Sorry, I took a couple of classes in developing a website and how to promote your website and those were some of the biggies. I don't have any name suggestions, but I do wish you well. |
