| Sirius radio I have to admit I was pretty upset with my husband when he purchased the Sirius satelight radio. Of course the only reason he got it was to fallow Howard Stern. And I am not a fan what so ever! With my husband it's a different story. He has been a fan ever since we've been together. He has his books, goes to see him if and whenever he comes town. And has gone to Vegas for the last 3 years to catch him when he does the show from there. I HATE when he listens to the jerk when we are all in the car (me and kids) Now that he has been moved to satelight, I have to admit it works out good. He takes the home base dock every where he goes! What's good about this is, he can listen with a simple walkman. As long as there is a outlit and a signal, he's good to go. Now there's no fighting in the car and the best part of all is we don't have to listen to the trash mouth jerk (sorry for all you Howard Stern fans) And I have to also admit another thing,,,,, no matter how much I was upset with him for getting the thing, I do think it's pretty cool. Non stop music. Cool stations. They have a station for ever type of taste. The Strobe and Boombox are my favorite! They play all the old school tunes. Freestyle & disco. I just love it! What ever I'm in the mood for they got it! Classic rock, oldies, 80's alternative, rock, R & B. I even log on via net to listen in. I don't need the docking set to listen. So cool!!!!! Of course my husband is like,,,,,,, I told you you'd like it! I hate it when that happens!

| I have SIRIUS in my car, and its okay. My husband has XM in his SUV and I like it better. We also have satelite in our house via the cable TVs, so we never really listen to regular radio anymore. I have to agree that commercial free is the way to go!!

| I have Sirius radio in our Jeep. Being that I am on the road 4-5 hrs a day it's a handy dandy item for me. I've only had it since December and it makes my long drives much more enjoyable!

| My bf is a huge Howard Stern fan, and I got him the service and player for his birthday in 2004. (He was ready for HS's move a little early!) He was always on the road so he didn't have to worry about channel surfing to find music when he went out of the area. I got him one of the first models they had out (pretty limited compared to what they have now!) That was stollen when someone stole his truck a few months ago, and I felt so bad for him that I bought him a new receiver. I got him the one that you can pause the music (although I didn't realize it at the time!) He just hooked it up in his truck this past week and is pretty impressed with it. I really like the service because you don't have to listen to the commercials and there are so many options- seriously something for everyone! I used to detest Howard Stern, but I've grown more tolerant of him in the past year or so. I'm curious to hear what one of his shows sounds like on satelite. I heard something about them wanting to sensor him a little bit on satelite. Did anyone else hear this? I CAN NOT believe the amount of money he is making, though. It's something like $300,000 a day! |
