| I am so sad My roommate works for Gillette. Gillette was bought by P&G. So today she spoke to her company and got a job offer for P & G. It is a happy news, but that means she has to move to Ohio. I met her about 9 years ago at college. We were good friends at school. We started living together about 4 years ago. She has been the best roommate, and we understand and respect each other. I don't think I could ever find a better roommate. She was just the one! I have no family in US and she always has been like my family. Sometime we have disagreement, but we always enjoyed each others' company. She has been always here for me... like family. Now she probably is moving to Ohio. We were planning to move together because I need to , to be able to get a dog. But now it seems like I have to move on my own. I started crying.. started crying so much... I am happy for her for this new great opportunity.. but I am very sad... Thank you for listening

| Michico, I am sure that this will be hard for you....but I am sure that you will find another roommate. Maybe not as great as the one you are losing...but hopefully one that will make it possible for you to get a yorkie if thats what you want! Hang in there! It will all work out!

| I'm so sorry - it is very hard to be here alone. I have many students who travel here to go to school and they are all alone - it is very difficult and I can't imagine doing it myself - going to another country, knowing no one. You are very brave and you are lucky to have found such a wonderful friend. Our lives often take us on expected paths - use this to find your way on another path, not without your friend, because she will always be your friend - but without her constant support. It is scarey - but you can do it!

| I'm sorry you're so sad. True friends remain that way no matter the distance between them. Now you'll have a reason to visit and see Ohio and I'm sure you'll also make new friends AND find a way to get your furbaby. It'll be hard but I know you'll be OK...you're a wonderful and strong person.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I agree with everyone...GOOD friends are a blessing but good roomates are hard to find...Your friendship should survive this move...it's part of life and while things CAN make us sad - a new door will open for you...Good luck !! |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Yes, it's very hard when a friend moves away, probably more since you were room mates, however that doesn't mean you will not remain friends. Living in a military community means I often have friends move, but we stay in touch via email, phone calls, and visits

| Thank you everyone! I doubt that I will look for a new roommate. We lived in three bedroom apartment and we always had hard time with third roommate. It is very difficult to find someone who can be culture sensitive. I don't know any Japanese in Boston and work with very very very diversed work environment, so at least I want to be a Japanese.. I know it sounds crazy.. but I would like to eat Japanese food, want to watch japanese cable station... want to live with someone who can understand my own culture. Anyway.. I am going to be 30 this year.. so I guess it is good to be on my own. My boyfriend and I were gonna start looking for a house, but.. who knows what is gonna happen. Anyway.. thank you so much for your support. It is really hard.. because I don't have someone like her that I almost consider her as my family... Yes we are gonna keep in touch... I am just trying to digest the news! ..

| Michiko, this is just the Universe telling you it is time to move and get that puppy you want!!! We have a saying, "A door closes, and a window opens." It means that old opportunities may be gone, but new opportunities will be available! Good luck, and keep us posted!!
