I'm a covert CIA Agent....oops, not anymore. LOL CPA so totally boring individual here. |
Ive been a stay at home mom for almost 7 years now! I worked 4 years in a day care...then i worked as a medical secretary for a few years. My youngest is home 3 days a week, so Im still here for him. I try to stay active in my 1st graders school. My youngest will start kindergarten in august, and I will have to go back to work. I really need to go now..but not just to pay for chid care. It scares me! I wish to god I could work from home, data entry or something like that, but that is SO hard to find! But anyway..Im a stay at home mom! |
I run a Skin Care Center for a Plastic Surgeon in Louisville, Kentucky. Joy |
I am a stay at home mom and Sales Director with Mary Kay. I really enjoy being able to be home with my kids, but sometimes I do wish that I worked outside of the home. Sometimes that kids can get a little stressful especially in light of the whole moving situation right now... |
I'm a producer for a local CBS affiliate. Lots of exciting days! The bad things is that I can never take lunch breaks... |
I teach Professional Development at an Engineering College (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute). I teach sophomore and senior students communication, ethics, organizational culture, MBTI, team skills, etc. I teach required courses so they aren't always excited about class :) I teach Tuesday and Wed. and the other days do training for faculty/staff and student clubs! Before this I taught Public Speaking, Gender Communication and Interpersonal Communication at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Before that I was an aesthetician (licensed in the state of AK) in a salon doing make-up, facials, pedicures/manicures, and body waxing. |
Another nurse here! I am currently the VP of Clinical Services for a small chain of nursing homes, I specialize in Quality Improvement and am working on certification for Legal Medical Consultant. I love working with my elderly residents,....lol, I went into nursing home work for a break from the hospital where I worked on cardiac and dialysis unit. It definitely hasn't been a break but I do enjoy it most of the time...except when the government continues to tamper with things saying they are making it better! Biggest joke of the century! Anyway, I also dabble in Mary Kay. I used to be more active but since I have started traveling so much I don't get a chance to do much with it anymore. |
OK I think I have the worst job! I am a manager at a local gas station here in town!!! :( I do have fun working there though b/c it is such a small town everyone knows everyone! Before I got preggo I was going to school for nuclear medicine but the school sucked!!! So I am thinking about taking Medical Transcription online so I don't have to worry about a babysitter for my baby! Does anyone know anything about medical transcription? |

That is awesome!!! Thanks for the info! :D |
I'm a civil engineering technician... which isn't as awesome as it sounds! I just spent 8 months working for a consulting firm, going out to construction sites and testing concrete and soil densities and doing specialized lab testing. It's strenuous and definitely not fun :( I'm back at school now to be a technologist after 12 months, and then I hope I can head back for 2 years to get a civil engineering degree and have an office job! :D |
I used to work at a gas station and i love it and here in KC i now the managers make very decent money! |

I am the mom to a wonderful human daughter and one fuzzy one and I am an artist.I work at home in a studio.I love what I do but sometimes I crave being around people.I am also the artist in residence in a local business in my town. What this means is I go to the shop which happens to have 15ft windows on a corner thus GREAT light and work on my paintings. If anyone should want to talk about what I am doing or ask questions I am available.I love doing this. When not painting I sit on the Advisory Board of Directors of the School of the Arts at our local university and facilitate dicussion groups for a group called Conversations on Race. |
I was a Director of a group Health Claims Department for an Insurance company for 33 years until they eliminated my position last year. New management called me in 1 day and said your position has been eliminated and you will be retiring at the end of the month (2 weeks away). I was 52 years old! So I have been enjoying my retirement butmy income was cut to literally 1/4 of what I was making. But I love not working and I can always get a job when I need to. |

Otherwise I occasionally breed a yorkie or two. Really would love to be able to work fulltime with my yorkies. Maybe one day soon this dream will come to pass. I can spend inless hours with my babies and never tire of it. I enjoy reading and researching the breed. I believe if you strive for quality everything else falls into place. |

I work at a temporary Agency, I am a Sr. Service Supervisor for Austin Personnel Agency, we help people find jobs, only perk is if I ever need a job I can find my own, oh and I learned having this job is almost like winning the lotto, you get calls from family members you didn't even know you had to"hook them up" .... LOL |
I work at a Family Practice Doctor Office. I work in the front office and kind of do everything. Answering phones, checking people in and out, filing and getting referrals with insurance. I love my job and helping people. The only thing is we are on a raise freeze and I really could use a raise. With heat, gas going up, it would really help!! |
I am a Dental Assistant. Have been for almost 18 years now. I do like it at times but would some days love a change. Those days would be when there is not enough hours to accomodate all those "emergency" broken teeth or the nasty mouths or the occasional puking accident. But I have been at it so long that I can't fathom the thought of starting over at minimum wage because I don't have much experience in anything else. Before that I was a Pharmacy Technician and thought I might want to be a Pharmacist then realized that I could make just as much money as a Dental Hygienist. Well, crap I got married and never made it to hygiene school. Went back to school finally but then I had to go and blow it again.......decided to divorce the worthless pain in my *##. So, now I am still just a Dental Assistant. Although I do travel up front and do work there so I do get some versatility in my day. I would love to actually be a Veterinarian but too dang old and stubborn and set in my ways to go back to school now. My dad still tells me that I should have become a lawyer. What the heck does that mean? It doesn't matter that I would argue with a light pole, does that mean I am lawyer material? I did try the stay at home mom job and it sucks. Not enough pay in that job? I couldn't handle being taken advantage of so I decided if that was going to happen then at least I was going to be paid a decent salary for it. |
I'm a legal secretary for a small firm, 2 attorneys. Mostly family law with some criminal mixed in. Every now and then we'll throw in a civil case. I was a Mary Kay consultant but never really got off the ground. I think I choked when it came to talking up people. It would be great if I could've gotten my website to take off and just did it that way. Kinda bummed because I was real excited about the idea.... |
I am currently in University majoring in Illustration, after I get my degree i plan on continuing my education and getting my Zoology degree. |
I wait tables at TGI fridays....and go to school...i'm trying to get into dental hygiene school..but if that doesnt work out..i'm going to get a degree in Microbiology |
I am sorta new here. I don't post very much because I have no idea what I am doing.........LOL! I'm also a newbie on the computer, but I'm learning. I have had many many jobs, but now I am a Small and Toy Dog Groomer. I went to school this past September in Pennsylvania. I even graduated! I groom at home and in our motorhome when we are traveling. I LOVE IT!!!!! I'm also a Mother with two grown children and I have been married to my husband for fourty years. I have two yorkies that I just adore!!! Dudley is 4 yrs old and weighs 5 pounds and Dinkey is 1 yr old and weighs 7 pounds. I will have to learn how to post pictures. This YT group is WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!! Sandy, Dudley, and Dinkey |
My Job I'm a legal secretary at a large NYC law firm. Easy Job. Get to be on the internet all day so I can't complain. |

Human Chemosensory (specifically human olfaction - individual variation, genetic basis of olfaction, attraction via chemical signaling, etc) Researcher at an affiliate of a major university. |
Full time student - graduating in May with two degrees. I can't freaking wait. I also have a position at a government agency doing all sorts of fun public relations stuff. *please note the sarcasm in my voice Some may also consider me a linguist :p If anyone's hiring, I will be looking for a PR job in May. I am willing to relocate and have an excellent resume (I DO MEAN THIS) |
One more RN here! I've worked in ICU (intensive care unit) and CCU (coronary care unit), occupational health, and general staff nursing. But now, after many years of graduate education, I'm a professor of nursing at a major university. I specialize in gerontology and I love teaching my students about caring for and working with older adults. I also do research with persons with dementia and their family caregivers. I absolutely love my job and cannot imagine doing anything else!!! |
Was in Retail Management for years. Decided I better figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up so I quit and went to college fulltime for four years and graduated with an associates degree and two bachelor degrees in the spring of 2004. Also had a paid internship in my last semester at the Capitol working in the Democratic Caucus Chairman's office...Loved it!! After graduation found out our adopted son Tristan was on the way so been a stay-at-home mom ever since. Decided to apply for a position back within the Capitol complex that I've learned about just this past week. Also want to go to law school (after we win the damn lottery to pay for it) but in the meantime I might be taking classes this fall for my Master's in Criminal Justice and possibly Public Administration. Would love to get into criminal law and also teach at the University or Law School level. |
