| Coping And Comfort Food During Covid 19 What coping skills and comfort foods are you using occasionally to weather times of boredom or worry during this pandemic? Pizza is my favorite food but I've yet to order any. Dying for a slice of pepperoni pizza! Did splurge on an Edwards Key Lime Pie last month but only eat a slice every 2 weeks or so - keeps well in the freezer. It's sickeningly sweet so you can't take much at once! Have splurged on Little Debbie Honey Buns to have occasionally for breakfast They're little but go a long way. Mostly walking and exercising to stay active. Haven't binge-watched anything yet but "McMillions", documentary and mystery shows. Nights I use an audio book to send me off to sleep.

| Yeah I could go for a pizza too. Actually I have been stress eating just about anything available, And buying a lot of stuff that I don’t normally eat like mostly junk food although I have tried a few new recipes which I kind of like. But it’s bad because it’s good which makes me eat way too much. Edwards pies love them all can eat the whole thing in a day And thank you now I want pizza and pie

The preparation for washing, storing all those fresh veggies and fruits, storing them properly so they don't rot, go brown or soft, is harrowing though, a whole lot of work after you unpack your groceries. So is the slicing to get large vegetables small enough to blend well. But, once the prep is over, the rest is easy.

Love a day in PJ's, sweats or whatever comfies I have, minimal make-up/hair, just relaxing and napping all day, occasional snacking. Takes away the jitters.

| Great idea for a thread. My DH and I are watching an episode of Breaking Bad each night. Never saw it the first time around. We have mostly been following the AIP (autoimmune protocol) diet so eating pretty well. It I go off of it is usually cheese or something like that.

| After 12 or 13 years of satellite TV, my DirecTV picks now to start having satellite problems. Noticed a bit of pixilization or notices that part of DVR'd program didn't record due to "signal loss", discounted bits of it to local rain in the area(it is Spring) but today it's bright, sunny, not a cloud in the entire sky and some channels started pixilating, getting message of satellite loss! Technician set to come out tomorrow from 8 - 12 and I'm worried. Phone customer service technician said satellite just likely needs reassigning outside but what if they need to come in the house? I'll be masked and gloved but, automatically assuming, for safety's sake, both I and the techs have active virus in our noses, mouths, eyes. on hands, faces, clothing, shoes, etc., and we must all be in my home, how long after techs leaving B4 it's safe to enter the room to wipe everything down with disinfectant? And before I can remove my mask, my gloves, my clothes, shoes and throw everything including my clogs, in the washing machine and shower? I know times are hard and even tragic for so many of us but YIKES, I'd so sar managed to stay relatively isolated until this. Now it gets real.

| Another coping skill for me is Facetiming friends when I am thinking about them since most of us are home all the time now.

| Turns out the DirecTV tech was able to make a slight adjustment to the satellite dish outside and he never had to come inside. His boss called me that evening to give me his phone # in case any more problems. Glad to say, the pixelated channels now back to normal and no stressing over extra germs in the house!

| Ice cream has been our go to since we have been sequestered. I usually eat chocolate but I've switched to vanilla with caramel topping. 5 nights a week we end our day with a bowl. I wonder how we will feel about ice cream a year from now. Will it be a good memory or a bad memory?
