| Stolen Yorkie [FONT=Comic Sans MS]We think the public needs to know: Pet Owners Beware! Someone is out there stealing pets. Wednesday, January 11, 2006, Elle (L E) my 9 month old spayed female Yorkshire Terrier was stolen from my locked car in broad daylight. The 1970 VW convertible was parked in the front row of the parking lot at the PetSmart at Colorado Blvd. and Alameda. Also in the car was my 3-year-old shih tzu/poodle. She was left and nothing in the car was disturbed. We can't find any witnesses. To enter the car they must have had a tool that would fit into a 2" window opening. PetSmart says nothing like this has happened before - to their knowledge. A police report was filed with the Glendale Police Department and they have been very helpful. There may be a "ring" scoping out pet stores in hopes of finding dogs to re-sell. We want to let people know. We are heartbroken - she is family. We are offering a $1,000 reward. Sincerely, Pati Walker Denver, Colorado ppascoe@comcast.net patipw@earthlink.net 303-271-3544 Please view the link below. Also, please read the response from Taunia Hottman - Sky 9 reporter http://home.comcast.net/~ppascoe/index.html Response from Taunia Hottman, Sky 9 reporter: "This is HORRIBLE! A friend of our pilot also had his Yorkie taken straight from his back yard at the Broadlands. There was no blood, so it lead the owners to believe that it might not have been a wild animal that took the dog. I'll let my assignment desk know about the story. It brings to mind the fact that these 'luxury dogs' are so very popular right now that they are going for hundreds of dollars. This could be the start of a very scary trend." "I hope you don't mind, but I also passed your story on to my husband, Jeremy Hubbard. He is the weekend anchor at Fox 31 and was mortified when I told him your story. About a week ago, we got a new puppy...so the fear hits close to home. Maybe if we spread the word...people will be less bold about taking people's pets!" "Thanks for the e-mail and for watching, I hope you find your little one safe and sound!" Sincerely, Taunia Hottman Sky 9 Reporter |

| oh my, i hope you find her this may sound like a stupid question, and im sure there is a logical reason, but why were they in locked in the car??? in front of a petsmart of all places wouldnt they be much happier going inside, since petsmart does allow animals in there store it sounds like whoever took her sure knew what breeds would fetch a high price tag... |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Oh, WOW! I'm so sorry that you had your baby stolen. These dogs are in high demand. That's why I don't take mine anywhere unless they can be with me. A friend of mine had one of hers stolen from her car parked in front of a gas station.

| Thank you for your support. We have a lot of folks working on angles with the news etc. A nearby doggie day care just added $500 to the reward - so it's now $1500 (i'd give'em 10K - if they'd just call!) |
