:) Good afternoon young Priscilla! :D Just checking in, hoping you're gradually feeling better, and sending you big, British hugs and kisses... :D Sally xxx |
My thoughts and prayers are with Priscilla, Hoping for a speedy recovery |
Hi Priscilla. I hope you're having a good day and recovering. You have been doing such an awesome job! :) |
Just dropping off a HI and some (((hugs))) for Sweet P! Hope you are feeling better and better each and every day. |
Me too! I want to say hello and tell you that I am always thinking of you. Hoping you are feeling better each day. I miss you. :) |
Hi guys, I'm still getting cards and that makes me really happy. For some reason a few got redirected to the house instead. Not sure how they knew about that. But anyway the cards are really appreciated. Miss you guys a lot. My stomach is still huge. I look at least six months pregnant. But def better than before. Bf showed me some pics when I was first admitted and I seriously looked like a ghoul. I do not remember any of it. |
Hi Priscilla! I'm glad you are improving and that you don't remember the first days of being sick. Have you been able to get up and move at all? Or do you have to stay in bed? |
I am strong enough to walk around without a walker now. I can go to the bathroom by myself. Thankfully my room has a full bathroom and shower. I finally had enough energy to take a shower today but took a lot out of me. Yesterday bf helped me wash my hair. Besides that I had not had my hair washed or taken a shower since being admitted at the end of Sept. I just did not have the energy for it. All I got was wipe downs from the nurses. Most days I am just in bed though. I'm still hooked up to the IV and being tube fed. The stuff taste vile. Even though it bypasses by mouth and stomach I can smell it. Tastes like regular Cheerios in Ensure and it makes me cough non stop. I also had two CT scans in about four days and they make my back hurt so bad. Plus I'm still in a lot of pain in the abdomen. I seriously would never wish this one anyone. I really want to go home but after the hospital I have to go to a physical therapy place. There were many times I wanted to just leave the hospital and just go home and wait to die it was so bad. |
Thanks for keeping in touch, Priscilla. Great that you could take a shower, & your long post also tells us you're feeling more like yourself. Any word on when you might begin on the clear liquids? Take care, Annie Dolly & Teena |
I'm so glad to hear you're able to get up and around a bit. I can't imagine going through what you did, and I hope I'll be as strong as you have been if I ever do. I'll say a prayer tonight for your stomach swelling to come down, that's gotta hurt. |
Priscilla, I'm glad you felt strong enough to take a shower. Although it must have been exhausting, I can imagine it felt good. Your words are what I read in a forum for people who have been pancreatitis. They all said they wouldn't wish it on their worst enemies. I wish you strength and relief from all of the pain and discomfort. Praying physical therapy goes fast so that you can return home. Sending you lots of love and healing wishes. |

If people want to send add'l cards, what is your current room number, btw? |
Glad to see you are a bit stronger and able to do a bit of walking and showering. Keep up the good work. |
I'm in 819 now. It's strange though how so many got fwd to the house even though the cards were adddressed w the hospital address on them. |
:D There's a gremlin in the works...!!! :poof_gremlin: Weird!!! So happy you're feeling a teensy bit better - I bet you feel sooo much better after a shower/hairwash - makes you feel a bit more human again :) xx |
Priscilla, I am glad to hear you were able to have a shower. And your hair washed! Also, am happy you can get up and around once in a while when you are up to it. Small steps in the right direction! Praying you improve with each day. |

glad to hear you are able to move around a bit, but sorry you are still so uncomfortable. Wishing that each day brings big improvements ((((((((hugs)))))))) |
They pushed my feeding tube in a few more inches yesterday. OMG was that brutal! The back of my throat is sore now. Hopefully it will go away soon. Finally got a decent nights sleep last night though so that's good. First good night I had since being here. |
Priscilla, Geese!! Just now seeing this! I'm so sorry to hear that you are so ill! I'll keep you in my prayers for sure! Get well soon my friend! |

Very sorry about the tube! I'm afraid that I would have reflexively punched the person who was doing it. You are one strong woman for surviving this ordeal. |
So glad you were finally able to sleep. Thoughts are with you in Kentucky. |

So happy you got some decent rest - that's so important when your body is trying to heal. Thinking of you multiple times a day and wishing you better health every moment ! (((hugs))) |

Priscella, I'm so sorry you're still going through this. It's good to know you're gaining your strength, I'm sure having a shower and your hair washed felt wonderful! I keep repeating for you to stay strong, I know good days will come soon! ;) |

That's actually a great idea! Actually I got some broth today! I was a powder out of a packet but it's the first "food" I've had since Sept 29! Annie, I stopped watching the food network about two days ago bc my stomach was growling too much. Hopefully I can get some chewable food soon, then that means I can go home. |

Great, Priscilla! Broth first, then you'll be eating creamed soups before you know it! Yay! |
