| Thanks again guys for all of the kind words. He is still doing pretty good. So actually we have had 2 decent days in a row. We spent last night on the computer trying to figure out the different medicare drug plans as his medicare will start in april. I am going this afternoon on a job interview. There has got to be a job out there that I don't hate going to. And last night he told me that he thinks I need to go back to school and get my RN. Like I don't have enough on my plate. But I did tell him that I would check in to it and see what kind of financial help I could get. Thanks again guys for the prayers, they are working. |

| Well guys he is still doing pretty good. His Mom is now in the hospital in ICU now. She is on dialysis and her shunt is infected so now she is septic. Guess when it rains it pours huh? This is the same way our year started last year. He is handling it pretty well. He overdid himself yesterday and was very tired but is up this morning and says he feels ok. I think they are planning surgery for Monday to remove the shunt and put a central line in. They can't do it before then due to the blood thinners she is on. I went the other day for a interview at another facility and then yesterday went to an area hospital and put my application in. Right now I work day shift at an area nursing home and both positions I am looking at would be night shift. I am searching for something I guess and don't know what it is. I have started my research on what it would take for me to go back to school. Hopefully my hubby will keep feeling well, we will get good news on his Mom and I can make the right career choices. |

| Wow what a horrible week we have had. My mother in law had surgery Monday and we almost lost her Monday night. She is still not out of the woods and they are watching her closely for blood clots in her lungs. She is a mess and they are anticipating a very long hospital stay. We are going to try and convince her to come and live with us when she comes home. Right now my sister in law is living with her, but does a crappy job of taking care of her. We will see how that goes. My hubby is still trying to recover from Monday and Tuesday so has slept just about all week. The doctor did double his Lasix to try and keep the fluid off and he has another appt on Monday. I missed a days work on Tuesday because we stayed at the hospital as the doctor was afraid that my mother in law was not going to pull through. And to top it all off Tuesday night my sons coondog climbed the fence and was hit by a car. So things have not been good this week at all. |

| Oh Lora, You HAVE had a crappy week. I sure hope it gets better. Keep looking for that better job - do you like working nights? I loved the work at night - but I hated the way it made me feel - I was ALWAYS tired. I hope your husband doesn't overdo it - all this stress of worrying about his mom can't be good for him. Take care of yourself too! <<<< HUGS >>>>

| I am so sorry for everything that has been going on. I certainly can't say that I know what you're going through, but I can say that I know the feeling and pain of having it "rain and pour". My whole year has been that way. For me, it has been filled with death and sickness from my father passing away right down to my little dog (and not to mention the in between). Although we haven't gone through the same experiences, I do understand the stress and helplessness that you can carry in times like these. You sound like a very strong woman. I know that you may feel weak, but we are really alot stronger than we think. I'm sure you have even surprised youself lately. Just keep praying. Keep yourself busy (and I'm sure you are anyway). We will keep you and your family in our prayers as well. It sounds like things are starting to look up already! All my best, Heather

| I missed this thread somehow but I just read all the posts. I am so sorry that you have had a terrible week. Hopefully, your hubby would feel better and better each day and your mother-in-law would be alright, too. I know you have a lot going on and might not have time to stop and take a little break, but you need to take care of yourself too. It's hard to be ill but it's not so easy to be the strong one either. Your hubby is so lucky to have you and I bet he knows it too. You are in my prayers and I hope you would find a job you really like soon. |
