YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Not me the book was poorly written, and quite frankly disappointing in many ways

| I read the books because, for my whole life, I have shunned anything that was a fad which includes new release movies and books. This is not because I am a social rebel but because I have been disappointed so many times with all the hype which surrounds something new. ALSO, I had very little to discuss with my insurance co-workers as I studied neuroscience and they were dealing with young kids and insurance stuff .. ya know, like they were paid for..lol! SO, I thought reading these books might make me seem less aloof because I'd have some sort of common ground to build rapport with.. WELL, the books were disappointing to say the least. I am not into romance stuff, anyway, but the phraseology used, the cliché plot - all of it was not for me. Therefore, I will be giving this movie a miss!!!!!! I might have made an exception if the lead was played by someone amazing like Liam Hemsworth, but alas...! |

| Wonder why they chose lesser known actors? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I honestly don't think any really big name actors would touch it with a 10 foot pole, that's my opinion. I won't seek out seeing it / go out of my way bc I have a feeling it will be an eye-roller of a movie...but if/when it comes on HBO I may see it then, out of curiosity.

| Definitely not 9 1/2 Weeks. I am not sure I will see it ... the book was ridiculous. I am by no means a prude, but I got so sick of the idiotic sex (excessive and redundant and not even erotic) .. found myself skipping pages/sex scenes. The "plot" just stupid stupid.

| I'll skip the movie. Everything eventually comes to hbo or show time and I don't even know if I'll watch it then. The book was passed around in the family and I did read it. a wise move would be to buy stock in Home Depot or Lowes (chains and plastic ties)

| <stepping forward> I saw the movie! I won a ticket for an early preview through a local Facebook contest so I went on the 12th and saw it. I have seen worse movies and I have seen better, it follows the book exactly and I think I seen move or Dakota Johnson underwear that day then I did my own. Final thoughts, if you read the book and liked it see it (even if you don't admit to liking the book publically, see it).

| I just got back from seeing the movie. Never read the books. Was hoping for an ending but, it appears another movie or two will follow. My gf liked it did a good job of following the book and looking forward to seeing the next installment. |
