| The flu almost killed me last year.....actually almost died from it. Was sick from Thanksgiving until February....so I sucked it up and took the dad gum flu shot this year, and will continue to take it from here on out....the doc told me the only reason I did not die from the double pneumonia I ended up with following the flu, was because I had taken the pneumonia shot. Take care Lynzy and if you feel it going into your lungs, get thee to the doctor, perhaps the hospital for breathing treatments, antibiotics for secondary infection, hydration, etc. |

| Hot Toddies, as I recall, helped a lot last time! Hang in there and stay hydrated, take your meds and hopefully this year's flu will grow tired of you and leave you before long.

| Lynzy, I'm sorry you are so sick. Now you have me thinking, maybe I should go ahead and get the flu shot. Just didn't get around to it earlier, and flu was late in hitting Hawaii. Plus I hear this year's vaccination didn't cover all strains, but will help with some. Lots of visitors arrive daily bringing in all their germs. Think I'll get the shot afterall.

| Lynzy, Many people say Tamiflu is the best thing. Supposed to lessen the duration or something. I pray you feel better soon.

| I hope you feel better soon. I had it too and it's absolutely miserable. The only other time I have felt that bad is when I had pneumonia a couple of years ago. I started feeling bad on Christmas Eve and barely got out of bed the next 4 days. I still have the cough a month later. Take care.

| After two days of a miserable cough, chills body and muscle and joint aches, clammy hot upper body, sore throat, miserable stuffy head, I got Tamiflu. All of the body aches, chills, claminess and sore throat disappeared almost immediately. I still had the stuffy head and cough but I could live with that. I got the flu shot in Sept. I really think the Tamiflu helped a lot, but you have to start taking it in two days of symptoms or I believe it isn't very effective. Hope you are feeling better soon. My sense of taste went kind of wacko though. Still is a little. I had very little appetite but all food I ate tasted yucky. I don't know if that was from the Tamiflu or what. But my taste still isn't completely back to normal.

| Hope you all feel better soon. I'm battling it. No congestion, but severe aching, fever, chills. Blah. If it gets worse, I will try the Tamiflu.
