| No flu shot because I had Shingles....but I was told that this strain is not in the shot...but also said it would have helped lessen it? Who Knows anymore, I'm just sick sick sick...........

| You, too, Kristen, feel better soon and try those hot toddies and see if they help.

| Kristin, if your symptoms started within two days I would try the Tamiflu, it couldn't hurt. My second day of being sick was on Sunday and I had to go to Urgent care because I knew this thing was going to be bad. I didn't have to wait, I got right in. They only take walk ins, no appointments but I would call first to be sure. I think everyone there had the flu because each time a person left they came out wearing masks and wiped down the ink pen and door knobs. They did a nose swab to confirm the flu, then they put a mask on me. My insurance is paying the whole thing. I'm so glad I went and got the Tamiflu. I can't say for sure but I really think that is why it was so short in duration and it didn't get so bad. I hope it works as well for others as it did for me.

| Thank you everyone for the well wishes. Looks like I am too late for the Tamiflu. I was already 4 days into this. Thankfully still no sore throat or congestion to go along with all of the other symptoms: severe body ache, fatigue, chills, ear pain.

| Kristen sorry to hear you're not feeling so hot. Lynzy's you too. Sounds like you've had it bad. I got it this year for some weird reason. I usually escape it. I didn't get around to the flu shot in time. I got a terrible sore throat, achy and just run down feeling. Drink lots and rest. It took about a week and a half, but I'm good now. But man there are a lot of people that are sick. Everywhere you go somebody is cough and sneezing. Hoping I don't catch it again. you all take care of yourselves. |
