Artifical Christmas Tree Buying Advice Needed...

Slim, stylish and stunning! Good tree choice - I love it. Cannot believe you already have your Christmas tree up but all the longer to enjoy the season.

Love your lit-up sheers!!!!!!! How do you effect that look? Is each strand a separate one and how is it plugged in so that you don't see cords everywhere? Or are the lights battery operated? Love the look, Ann.

Thank you, I love the sheers so much too. So much so, that we have them light up automatically each evening, year round - it's just such a lovely light. They are these awesome icicle lights that are SIX ft long - so they're just perfect for behind curtains! And, cheap! I think I used only 2 of them to fit the space: Christmas Icicle Light - 150-Lite Curtain Mini Light Set, Clear Lamps, White Wire

We got ours last Black Friday for super cheap, I think it was originally about $300 and we got it for half that. It has no flock, Im not a big fan of that.... but what I do love is it has lights that can be all white, all colored, or can blink between white & colored! Thats what I wanted. I hated to get a white light tree and want colored, or a colored and want white. Right now my ornaments are just a jumbled assortment of stuff, and look better with colored lights. But someday I may want a pretty coordinated tree and have white lights. Who knows!

haha. My neighbors would no doubt run me out of the neighborhood and Santa Claus might just run when he got a look at that tree! I had no idea there were all kinds of artificial trees and this one is for those who love to trip their way through the entire Christmas season, I guess.

Treetopia even has black Christmas trees! No doubt one would look very chic in the right sophisticate's living room - either an all white or ivory room or imagine a red room with just the single, slim Stiletto Black Pencil Christmas tree strategically placed.

Oh, of course, it would have to be a completely monochromatic white, ivory or red room/accessories with just that stark contrast of the all black stiletto lighted tree - perhaps encrusted with simple, ultra-thin crystal balls.

I saw that - ombre! That Zebra tree would cross my eyes in the morning before coffee! Amazing.

But I still love your tree, Ann. Beautifully stylish against the far background of those sparkly sheers!

Thanks so much, I am loving this slim jim little tree . It's just kinda fun bc it's different/unexpected.

I would love to see a piccie of your sheers if you do the curtain lights, btw! Believe me, you will just love it...once you light it up, you can't really get enough of that soft, diffuse, glowing light. I have it done in my dining room too, lol, so beware - addicting!

It's fun looking at all these super eclectic trees...never knew they existed. What is your style, more eclectic up to a point, or more traditional? I feel like you're somewhere in the middle, with splashes of both...but I could be totally wrong.

So far I'm happy in tasteful traditionalism at holiday time but I dream big dreams of how I could totally change my holiday decorations for a total change up. My mind is always planning on what I will do "one day". I saw one tree called the Blue Dazzling Diva, which is a pencil, wavy-shaped, wispy blue tree with I think blue lights and immediately hated it but an hour later, I was back designing a whole room's minimalistic decorating scheme around it. hehe
