I admire your courage and perseverance and you deserve to come out on top.
Like you I am totally confounded with all the modern electronic claptrap and must admit I usually get the help of the Geek Squad after days of trying to get things working. I badly need a new printer but so dread the pain I will have to go through to get it working. I have an IMac Mountain Lion and my hub has an older IMac with some other wild animal operating system. It seems that the modern printers may work with my Mac but not his??? What to do? Probably he will have to get a new Mac, what a pain all this is. As soon as you buy a computer it seems to be out of date already. At the moment we can print wirelessly from the two IMacs but not from the IPads . Technology does suck sometimes. Sigh!!
Best of luck with your system, hang in there you are almost home, ha, ha.
Pleasant dreams :-)) | Oh, Dottie, you are right in the same situation I was before I had to get wifi - putting off the inevitable just dreading the pain to come as we've come to well learn almost NOTHING electronic EVER works right with everything from the start. And I'd rather be beaten than sit on the phone for hours dealing with Customer Service, Account Specialists and IT and other techs. Just beat me but don't make me talk to THEM!
To make matters worse, my costly Mitsubishi TV with 18 speakers and 42 thousand color/tint adjustments right down to how much each of the colors of red, green, blue, yellow, magenta and cyan you want in each of the five colors adjustments it has in 5 different theater combination of settings of color, contrast, resolutions, etc. - that TV - has "handshake" issues with the blu-ray player! What does that mean? My TV doesn't always recognize the blu-ray is actually plugged into it when it's turned on! UGHHHHH!!!
Woe is me - and you - and all of us either burning to death or freezing our tucuses off this summer or dealing with "new" electronic products of any kind! |
