I've been thinking about you all week. At first they were saying they would weaken and was shocked to see they were hurricanes last night when I watched the weather.
Prayers for you and all of Hawaii! Please let us know you made it Ok when you can!

I know the fear you're faced with, we've had tornado watch and warnings in my area several times. Keeping you and the babies in my prayers, and pray these storms do not hit Maui.

Thank you all for thinking about us. The pups think we are having a pool party inside the house..... with patio and pool stuff all inside. It is actually pretty nice outside now, sunny and a little breezy. I've been doing laundry all day, in case we have no power or water for a few days..... funny the dumb things that seem important when facing a crisis. Of course I'm filling the bathtubs with water, and filled propane tank for the BBQ. Oh my, I'm a little delirious.

The storm probably won't hit here until after 8pm Hawaii Standard Time, and most of you should be sound asleep by then. That is 11pm on West Coast and 2a.m. on East coast. I probably won't sleep much, and will update when I can.

I hope the storm is a "reasonable" one! Even 2 hours from the shore, we have had a couple of storms that shut our schools for several days to over a week--usually due to downed trees and power outages.

I hope this will be like Arthur was for us when we were at the beach a few weeks ago--high waves, some heavy rain, but no real damage and back to the water the next day!

You all are so in my thoughts.
Having done a number of hurricanes and have survived them all - even the severe ones. However, I have not done any with a pup, so was thinking about that - if you have any puppy life jackets I would keep them close. The noise is horrendous and that might be a problem. The no electric etc afterwards is inconvenient but do-able!

Hang in and keep everyone close. Know we will all be thinking about and praying for all of your safety.

I am a believer in the Lord Jesus and there is no where else to go to when the storms hit but to Him. He is a refuge, our strength, our deliverer, our peace in the storm. Our hiding place, our shield. I pray that tonight "He would give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways." Psalm 91:11 "He will cause the storm to be still so that the waves of the sea will be hushed." Psalm 107:29 "The Lord will protect you from all evil." Psalm 121:7 Do not fear for I am with you. Do not anxiously look about you for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
All you can do is trust in the Lord and know that He holds all life in His hands. He hears all our prayers.
