| Lol. OK, if you measure the diameter of the moon using fingers with your arm fully outstretched!

| My favorite photo of the eclipse, from NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/image/1404...apr15th_dp.jpg Spica is the bright blue star below the Moon and Mars is the bright orange planet to the bottom right. Here's an article from NASA describing the view of a total lunar eclipse from the Moon: Lunar Eclipse - NASA Science

| Who is ready for the full lunar eclipse on October 8th? This one happens from 5:27 AM until 6:22 AM my time (CST), so much better to wake up a little early to see it this time as opposed to staying up until 3:00 AM like the last one. Oct 8, 2014 Total Lunar Eclipse ? Where and when to see Looks like you'll have to get to a highpoint with a clear view West if you're in the Eastern US, but for those of us in the Central US all the way West to Japan it should be really easy to see the full lunar eclipse if the weather cooperates.

| Sounds like a plan! It'll be just high enough in the sky so I can watch it from my front yard.

| How cool. Do keep reminding us as it gets closer, or I guess it will be on news by then. It will probably be pretty early in the morning for us in Hawaii (PST)
