| Is caffeine really that bad? I know caffeine is supposed to be bad for you, so I have been trying to cut coffee out of my diet. I have the worst headache right now!! It's actually making my nauseas. Should I just drink the coffee??

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Your body is going through withdrawals...perfectly normal...it should only last a couple of days just long enough to get the caffine out of your system. Hang in there!

| You can get very severe headaches with caffaine withdrawal. The simple thing to do is taper off of it. Don't quit suddenly and completely. Personally - can't imagine why you think a reasonable amount of caffaine is bad. I have worked in the medical profession for more than 30 years and have never worked for or with a physician yet that thought two or three cups of coffee a day was bad for a person. I have worked for several doctors who don't drink coffee --- but YEAH - they're putting down the cokes instead. Too much of anything is not good. I'm not worried about the coffee I drink -- I'm trying to stay away from the potatoes, rice, and pasta. They are my downfall! Carol Jean |

| You are def. going through withdrawal. But you know what? When I get a severe headache or a migrane, I eat chocolate. The caf. makes me feel better. It's also in migrane medicine. I'm not saying to drink coffee, just giving you some info.

| Coffee makes me nervous when I drink it. Mmm <~~~~ what movie is that from??? LOL I am not a coffee drinker. I love coffee but I feel like bouncing off the walls and get the shakes when I drink it. Now that it's cold I drink decaf with Hazlenut creamer. My mom is a big coffee dirker and can not function without it. She tired to quit a few times but just couldn't do it. I told her if she is going to quit something it should be smoking,,,,, but that's a no go as well.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I hear drinking caffeine improves your short-term memory.

| I honestly have not heard that caffeine is bad either. Coffee is a much better caffeinated beverage than any soft drink (even diet) because even diet pops are loaded with sodium. I can't imagine life without coffee - it'd be so empty!
