| Probiotics... I'm planning to pick some up tomorrow, and wanted some insight about which one to get. Any ideas?

| Honestly I just buy cheap ones. I only take them while on antibiotics. This Fall I was on 3 back to back rounds of strong antibiotics and they kept my stomach in order. I have IBS and GERD so that's saying something. |

| I buy them on sale + coupons and rotate them. They all seem to have different ingredients and %. If you are really out of "wack" or on antibiotics take some good ones- for every day maintenance the cheaper ones seem ok. I won't do without them! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | It depends why you are going to get them, Probiotics, are just good bacteria that live in the intestine and if you take antibiotics, it can kill the good as well as the bad bacteria, so replacing the good bacteria is a good idea. However, once they are replaced, there is no reason to continue replacing them, unless your dog has some type of health issue. I don't know which brands are the best, although I do know you have to be careful, and some say, most don't contain enough variety to actually do much good, so much hype out there. I would ask the doctor/vet about it.

| I just started taking acidophiles again.... hoping it helps with my issues! DH started taking them also. They are on sale at CVS right now, b1g1, so 2 100capsule bottles for $10. Thats really cheap. I looked at the probiotics and they were around $25 for 40 tablets. Crazy!

| The one I'm taking is the kind found in yogurt. I don't know if that helps you or not. I took it today, but its probably not a good day to judge it, my stomach is a mess from my Super Bowl overindulgence last night!
