| Does anyone wear Prescription Colored Contacts? I have a very strong rx. I found some sites online that sell up to -10.00. I'm -11.00 Just wondering if anyone with a highish rx has had luck with colored lenses. Did the lenses migrate on you? Did the color cover you eye too much? etc. I've never worn colored lenses before. This will be just for Halloween.

| Mine are a fairly high rx and are light blue. I have had a turquoise color and I didn't like them when I was looking at anything white because I saw it as blue. What color are you wearing for Halloween? Sounds interesting.

| I wore some sort of blue in high school. They never distorted my vision, but occasionally they would float a little off center when they were dry. Then the blue would show a little on the white of my eyes. If you are using them for Halloween, go for it.

| I used to wear them until my prescription changed and the news do not come in a color (old eyes). I had blue and green, both never bothered my eyes or caused a problem with my vision.

| Tim Burton movie costumes (Scroll down to the bride with blue hair) Let me know if you guys can't access my Pinterest board. But I was thinking Corpse Bride. I already have the dress done that I made years ago but never ended up wearing. I even made the headress/veil and bought a blue wig but I have no idea where those are now. You see the girl in these pics has white contacts in. I think regular eyes would really take away from the look. Esp since I don't want to do blue face paint. I"m prob gonna do very pale makeup with blue eye makeup or something. Or another one I was thinking (also on that board) is Sally from Nightmare before Xmas. It's a fairly easy costume that I could do in the limited time I have. We got tix to this awesome show! Danny Elfman's Music from the Films of Tim Burton | Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE A symphony and live choir will be performing the music from several of Tim Burton's movies and Danny Elfman will be there performing songs from Nightmare, AND it's on Halloween night?! OMG ACK!!! I'm so happy we got tix. So of course I HAVE to dress up, as I"m sure many others will be as well. Too bad Danny Elfman didn't do the music from Sweeney Todd bc we already have those costumes done and ready.

| That is going to be so much fun! I vote for Corpse Bride. The contacts would be really wild. You must share pictures. A guy who worked at one of our local stores always wore freaky contacts like Marilyn Manson.

| Colored contacts can be really uncomfortable especially if you have sensitive eyes. I would try to get the more expensive ones honestly, they tend to be more comfortable.

| I would not put in a cheap contact lens. My brand now is one of the thicker ones. I don't have many choices bc of my rx. It did take about a week to get used to, so I hope that the colored ones wouldn't be worse.

There are also these contacts called "circle lenses". They make the iris look bigger than normal. It gives that anime look. If you ever wondered why Asian pop stars look so childlike, that's why. (Well one of many reasons why LOL)

| Omg. SO jealous of your tix to the Danny Elfman symphony..I didn't care for corpse bride...and Sally is very overdone...but no matter what you choose please post pics!! I love circle lenses since I saw some Asian beauty gurus on youtube wearing them. Dunno about prescription ones though. I've always wanted to see myself with brown contacts. I know, brown is such a common color and anyone with brown will say its boring, but when your entire family has brown eyes and you have weird grey-green eyes (that don't even compliment your skin tone, might I add!) , ya feel left out!

| Why didn't you like Corpse Bride? That one is one of my favorites! I know they do in fact make rx circle lenses, but they are not FDA approved so you have to order them from Asia. Scary thought! But they are approved by their equivalent of FDA, it's just our FDA has not approved them for sale here in the States. For my rx they would be about $50/pair. I do agree about Sally being overdone. the thing about Sally is I worry even though the costume is quite simple (rag dress) it's shapeless and would make me look huge. Emily's dress is very hourglass and the dress I made is very fitted. I just don't wanna paint my face! LOL I'm thinking of what other character I could do. I really would like to do Lydia Deetz, and if I don't have enough time, a black outfit with a camera around my neck and a huge brim hat could be put together in a pinch. But I'd really like to do the red wedding dress. Was also thinking about Katrina's black and white striped dress from Sleepy Hollow. I don't have enough time to do those that I know. Those gowns take about 3 months to make.

| I wore blue color contacts once when I was P!nk for Halloween, they weren't rx though. Sounds fun. I always say I want to go 'all out' one year and get a real nice outfit, do the hair, eyes, every little detail, some how it never works out. I like both ideas, corpse bride might be a bit more original. I can't wait to see pics!

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Halloween is my all time favorite holiday and I love dressing up !! I've won a few costume contest over the years. I've also always wanted to wear the all white lenses but my eye site is so bad that I have to wear my glasses all the time and it would just be a waist of money for me to only get them to complete a costume. So, I typically go for costumes that look good with glasses. I'm going to a huge Halloween party on Oct 19th and I can not wait !! I don't know anything about contacts but I can not wait to see pics of your costume.

| I might have a change of plans now. Just booked a vacay for Nov 9-20, so I may not do anything "big" for Halloween this year that involves spending more money. We already have our tix for the show, so that's still a go, but I don't know if I"m going to have time/money to do the costume.
