Regarding maternity suits, I think (but don't know for sure!) that they are just way more stretchy or have more material so you can fill them out as you get bigger. They pretty much just come in S,M,L,XL or whatever like regular clothes! I haven't ventured into maternity wear yet but you are supposed to just buy your regular non-pregnant size, and they are supposed to fit you as you keep growing. Oh and I've only seen the bathing suits that are tankinis that make it look like a one-piece because the top comes down over the bottoms.

But if you are confident enough in your skin while pregnant, I say wear a bikini if you want! We aren't living in a country where our women are forced to be hidden behind their clothing, so why should pregnant women have to hide their bellies?

I used to work at Motherhood Maternity and the swimsuits all are two pieces, the bottoms are cut wide in the front and go up over the belly and the tankini tops are cut wider in the front and are longer to go down over the belly.
You never know how big you'll end up getting but the Motherhood stores do have a pregnancy pillow that you can try on with the clothes to get an idea for how they'll fit when you are bigger.
With me, I barely showed with DD1 and wore all regular, non-maternity clothes. With DD2 I showed faster and a little more but wore mostly non-maternity clothes and a few fitted maternity tops. With DD3 I had one pair of maternity jeans, a denim skirt, and a few tank tops (that I still wear because they are comfy!) I LOVED showing off my little belly, hence the bikini. I never got stretch marks, either.
Congrats to you, Lindsey! Best wishes for a happy, healthy pregnancy! My best advice to you is to keep (or start) exercising- even if it is just a daily walk. It will make your labor and delivery SOOOO much easier!

Thanks!! Oh gosh, I need to start exercising again. I've been SO TIRED since about week 5, right after I found out, that I would sleep about 1-2 hours after work every day, and then just have enough time to cook, eat, and clean before going to bed and back to work again! The past few days I have had a bit more energy though My husband and I are doing a 5k run (okay, walk for us lol!) in a few weeks. I am going to try to go for walks with him and the dogs in the evenings while it's still nice! I'm normally in pretty good shape so it's tough to feel so tired and never have energy to do anything!
