YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() Donna I have had three of my yoga students over the past three years have the knee replacement surgery. The youngest woman was 57 when she got her first knee done. The initial physiotherapy was very difficult for all the woman - the first six weeks or so, but all the women swear by their new knees. My most recent student 2 1/2 months past her second knee replacement - has almost full extension now, and getting pretty good as well with flexion. She does her physio faithfully 2x per wk, and yoga 2x per wk. I think if you are in constant pain, and having a lot of difficulty with ADL, then do it. I also recommend to combine it with Iyengar Yoga (if you have a certified teacher in town)

| ![]() Oh Donna sorry to hear about your knee. But I'm glad to hear the Med is working to help with the pain. Please be careful and take it easy on that knee. |
