In Oklahoma we call it pop. One thing I say a lot is "holler". Like, "if y'all need something, holler" or "When you're ready to go, just holler!" and I'm always 'fixin' to do something. | lol I had to look it up. There was a pop song that said "holler back" meaning yell back? I have used the word that way often. Quote:

No... in the mountains of (where I 50% grew up) Virginia/Tenn a Hollar (not sure if spelled correctly) is a valley. My dh said they were called shut ins in the Ozarks. anyone know???
When I looked it up it said hollar ment down the road a spell. My sil will say a "fur peice down the road" or "over yander"
