BBQ RIBS... anyone?? Does anyone have any rib recipes… ?? I have been looking online and it says you can cook them in the crock pot..? I never tried that. I cooked ribs one time on the BBQ and they were really good. Also what BBQ sauce do you use on them? I heard the Sweet Baby Rays is good.. or the Jack Daniels 7… |
My hubby boils them in beer and then puts them on the grill or in the oven. We use Sweet Baby Ray's sauce mostly. I know that didn't help really but now I'm wanting ribs. |

I cook mine for about 3 hours with the addition off BBQ sauce the last 30 minutes. I like it low and sloooowwwww, it falls off the bone. This is an great site I've used some of the rubs for ribs and it was great. He explains about the techniques of cooking ribs and other assorted meats. As soon as I read the title my mind said "why yes please". I'm not a huge fan of BBQ sauce but I like to do dry rubs on mine. Stubbs is my favorite... I got it at home depot or lowes...lol |
That's what I use for crockpot ribs and chicken breast. I use 1 bottle Sweet Baby Rays, 1/4 C brown sugar, 1/4 C vinegar and cook on high for about 4 hours then turn on low for another 4 hours. In fact, I just threw in some frozen chicken breasts in the crockppot with the above recipe for dinner tonight. |
Yum just had them last night. We cook ours on the grill temp 225 to 250 low and slow. Our secret is the rub we put on them. McCormicks Grill Mates Pork Rub. Oh it's soooo good! And a little rice and some corn bread. :) |

So can I use a “rub” seasoning and put BBQ sauce on it? Or would that be too much? |

They put it in the broiler for like 5/10 mins. I think I will do that with mine, instead of the BBQ. |
