Hahaha It was a memory we would cherish forever!! Ha, my Mom has asked me not to do that to her again!! | thanks for all your responses I have learned a lot. One thing that I think I shouldn't do is talk (write) too much when they are telling me how interested they are. I should just write back "let's go for coffee" and let it go at that. I have been saying things like "your profile is very interesting" (that might be the truth...but I think I should just cut to the chase....so to speak). But one thing I will never do is get too close to someone I do not know...physically and emotionaly. So there still has to be some dating before I can say if I am interested. At least I started....lol Tina

YT 2000 Club Member | After I divorced a jerk of a sheriff, I was not looking for any guy. I decided to totally trust in Jesus to send the man to me. Of course He did. I met my husband on the freeway! He was a Highway Patrol Officer and pulled my friend over because she was missing a mirror. He asked what we did for fun and I said we go to bible studies. I invited him, he came and we got married later on. Trust in Jesus and you will get the man meant for you! I would never go on line. Women get some real weird men and you do not know these creeps. This world is full of men who want you and abuse you. Be careful where you go and what you do. Jesus said we will never be disappointed if we trust in Him. |

| you can meet bad people anywhere, even in church. look at all the child sexual abuse cases going on in the church. i am not saying don't beleive in something higher than yourself. what ever that may be. but trusting in yourself and knowing who you are. knowing your self worth will help you meet good people and not be attracted to the bad ones. now, i am christian, but the person you are answering may not be. so focusing advice based on that may not be helpful. though i feel your heart is in the right place. |

| No online dating advice here. For me, the saying, it'll happen when you aren't looking for it is true. I had been rather unceremoniously dumped by a guy that I was just head over heels for. He was immature and didn't want a true commitment. Post dump, I decided that I was going to live my life for a while and not worry about a relationship at 24. My brother was a bartender at a local club, so I would go there, hang out, dance, and get free drinks. One night I kept noticing a guy pacing back and forth and watching me. It took a half hour for him to get up enough courage to introduce himself. We wound up just sitting and talking for hours, and the night ended with him telling me he was going to marry me. We'll celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary in August.
