So far it sounds like she's the only one who didn't show. Since she's showing signs of not wanting to fight for life, they may want to wait a week and perhaps get a psych evaluation on her for competency.

Boy, that's infuriating that they ask for this - trying to prevent that poor man's family from talking straight to the jury about their loss and the horror of learning how he had to die and what it has been like living on knowing that.

That was just a blurb before they went to commercial but when they came back from commercial, they read the motion by Nurmi and it was to have victim impact statements videoed and shown to the jury rather than having them appear in court in person just like every other crime-victim's family gets to. I'd be furious if I were Travis Alexander's family.

I doubt the judge will buy that. Ridiculous and totally unfair to the victims.

I think it's cruel to want to deny his family and best friends the chance to tell Miss Arias to her once-smirking face that what she did to Travis also tore holes in their hearts and souls and what it has cost them now forced to live their lives without a beloved brother, and existing with the knowledge of how he died. That would probably drive me batty knowing my brother had died like that, dumped in a shower and left to rot, his poor dog closed up in the house with his dead master. I'd want to get in her yucky face!!! Big Time. I wouldn't go profane but I would verbally turn her every which way but loose and cut her to shreds!!! I'd be on the news that night on every channel.

I am quite sure the judge will not allow it. They have a right to testify. The woman is a pig. I say give her a rope, gun, knife, pills...anything she could use to do what she wishes. Would save the taxpayers a lot of money IF she did it, which I doubt she would.
Of course I know they cannot do that...I am just sick of her antics. It's all about Jodi. :thumbdown Not one ounce of remorse for all she has done.

It's absolutely HEARTLESS that Jodi requests that the VICTIMS don't testify in person!!! So SHE gets to testify and 'emote' for EIGHTEEN days, but yet they don't deserve 30 minutes on the dang stand bc they might get too 'emotional'??? Give me a freaking break! Just unreal.

I hope that they televise any hearing they might have over this motion. I would love to hear Juan Martinez wax elegant and go OT about how she wants this trial to be all about her and her right to be heard in person and have her day in court but how she wants to keep Travis' family and friends from having any voice before the court and doesn't want them to be heard in person at all. Once again proving she's the most self-absorbed, un-empathetic creature there is. Plus, she was still trashing Travis in her post-conviction interview! When will she get that is not working for her?

LOL. Love that Tee-shirt! Wonder how long before she's not suicidal again. Did you hear on TV how awful it is on suicide watch? The patient sounds like a lab rat who eats without utensils, wears only a paper gown or is nude, lives in plexiglass surroundings watched constantly and has no bedclothing. The lady on TV said the fakers get unsuicidal pretty quick after living that way.

I know, Nancy Grace is under the impression that she is living in great conditions with her own TV, and I was pretty sure inmates in psych hospitals had it pretty bad. I doubt if she can even have a pencil, don't know about crayons. I actually think it's pretty normal to feel suicidal after something like this. I think by not buying her story, she's pretty damn depressed; maybe it makes it harder for her to believe her story? For several years now, she's been able to convince so many people, including her psychologists that she was the victim. I really think Jodi believes this.
