No, I didn't and you are right - the glasses fog like mad. I used to wear glasses to see far off all my life and they did fog over. So glad that jury found she acted with extreme cruelty. Boy, that old smirky Jodi Arias is gone and that face is very sober and serious now. Too bad, Jodi. |
Arias ran into a group of people she couldn't fake out or manipulate or control. Ewww, did you see how arrogant she looked when they said the words "guilty"! I just now saw it on TV. Cold as a fish!!! Pout in place and looking daggers at that jury. Wow. |
Oh yeah...and not a HINT of the tears she supposedly shed all day. Anyone who cried as long as she acted like she did would have something...swollen eyes and red nose. She is such a phony. Yes, those people have seen right through her. |
Geez, I think I saw the look she must have had on her face when she retrieved her knife and gun from wherever she kept them. Dead cold and mean. She looked at that jury like that just now. If I were on that jury, I'd hope she never escapes anytime soon. I'd honest be scared of that thing. |

Wow, she turned those tears and that pitiful act off like a lightswitch. Just went cold and stoney and quietly angry. I saw hate. I'm surprised she's not keeping up her act but maybe she's thinking what is the point - these 12 folks have got my number and I'm outta strokes. Man, she's creepy. |

For somebody that NEVER cried during all the horrific crime as it was retold over and over in court, I imagine her lawyer told her, you had better dam well show some heart and some soul when you go in there today, or they will hang you from the rafters in the courtroom this weekend!!! So she shows up squalling crocodile tears all day...I had to leave and get an ultrasound on one of my girls that is pregnant, so I missed the ending of it all......did she finally just give the act up and return to her cold, heartless self??? |

Did she get life or death???????? or is that what they were doing today?????? She got "guilty" last week...I thought they were going to decide today if she got life or death????? |
She was stone cold, Judy. Looked arrogant as heck. The way she looked so intensely hateful at that jury as they were polling them, it stopped your breathing for a second. You got to see the real Jodi Arias for a bit. Today the jury had to rule on the "Aggravation" phase of the case and they said the case that she used extreme cruelty was proven. Boy, when they found against her, off flew her mask for a good while! |

You'd think the defense wouldn't let ALV anywhere near that witness stand again she was such a disaster. |

I was disgusted with the argument that since Travis was in fight or flight mode, adrenaline was kicking in and he probably didn’t feel that much pain. It reminded me of when Willmott was arguing with the ME and she said something like, “But the bullet was only in the brain for a second.” He shook his head and said, “yeah a second is enough time.” I just think some of these lame arguments work against them. |

Nancy, wasn't that sick!!! "Oh, he was so terrified and fighting for his life so hard, his adrenalin rush kept him from hurting from all my client's repeated stabs!!!" I wanted to throw up. SERIOUSLY??? |

Anyway, found the notes on LaViolette: This is from a year ago. Quote:

I hope they do call her. I don't think she has any credibility and obviously the jury didn't buy her bunk first time around. |
Does anyone know if during mitigation does each side get to question the people who go on the stand? For instance if Jodi's mom goes up would J. M. question her or is this just a phase where people speak and then get down from the stand. As a side note, as a woman I was embarrassed for Willmott and her horrible attempt to try to make us believe Travis didn't suffer from excess adrenaline rushing through his body and he died quickly from the blood pumping out so fast. All I could do was shake my head, how pathetic of a defense. |

BOTH of her attorneys tried to quit a couple of weeks ago! I know Nurmi tried a few times and failed....now both have asked. They did not release the reason, but I will bet it was from her idiotic interview. I want to feel badly for them, BUT I am having a hard time in that they have made such jerks of themselves in how they treated people.....especially Nurmi with his questioning of that sweet girl (forget her name right now) who had dated Travis in the past. |
I can't even imagine anyone wanting to hire Willmott after seeing her skills as an attorney on this case. To me she looked so unprofessional, lacking in experience, repetitive, monotonous, and lack luster in her questioning of witnesses. |

Why didn't they convince Arias to play the victim card, play up to her acting and scamming skills and get her to throw herself on the mercy of the court and show nothing but remorse? When you've slaughtered another human being like an animal and left him no dignity, the last thing I'd think you want to do is trash his memory before the world for months on the stand, taking absolutely no responsibility yourself. That was her only real shot to get out of jail relatively "early" - go sad and pitiful. She's a young, fairly attractive woman and she could have played that "I snapped when he attacked and I'm so sorry" card without the character assassination with some amount of success with many who are hesitant to send that type of person away for a long, long time. The way they've done it, Arias and her lawyers and experts have just angered everyone. A lot do seem to want revenge for TA, not just justice. |

They could only work with what she gave them....they are not supposed to GIVE her a defense. Their job is to defend whatEVER she says happened. |
But you know the Bigs tell the client how it's gonna be if they want to get a decent chance to get off or not do a long long sentence and the smart ones go along. What does that say about the lawyer when they can't bring their high-school dropout client along to save her life? Says the client had no reason to put any trust in either atty. I guess that's what you get though when you ask others to pay out of their pockets for your defense! You go off your boyfriend cause he broke it off with you and now you expect to get a lawyer you trust to know what to do when all the hard-working taxpayers are footing your bill? Guess ol' Jodi didn't think they knew any better than she did what to do and after all, she's smarter than Einstein. Wonder if her first appeal will be based on ineffective assistance of counsel? She'll probably blame them just like she does everyone else. |
