Wasn't it four years ago that POS beat her? And he was put on probation for five years? Yet he got in multiple fights with other people, why is he not in jail for violating his probation?

The same reason why Linsay Lohan got community service for several DUI's, DWI's, possession of cocaine, violating probation, leaving the scene of an accident, stealing, and driving with a suspended license. Their rich and famous. Their laws are not the same laws WE the common people have to live by. Parents should be their kids role model. It's not the job of celebrities to be role models for kids. Especially, music industry celebrities and reality start. After all they are promoting, sex, drugs, and alcohol for the most part.

It's really an odd situation to watch. On so many levels, Rihanna comes off as so strong and powerful...but then she goes back to a man who beat the crap out of her. I can't imagine going back myself; I can only imagine that there is some kind of obsession / co-dependent thing going on btwn them.

I will say though, despite saying it being unpopular, that I do believe people *can* make extraordinary changes - so my hope is that Chris Brown has made them. Unforch, I'm not so convinced from the outside, at all, given all his publicly known rough ups w/ various people.

As for Rihanna being a role model - I don't think she's ever been interested in being one (even though she IS one, by default of being a celebrity).

On day I sat on Twitter transfixed as I saw post after post - hundreds - of Tweets with avatars besides that looked to be very young girls obsess over the glories of Rihanna and I barely knew who it was. They went on about what a wonderful, cool, hot, wonderful and a lot of other terms I didn't understand - a lot of them were several words runtogether like so - person she is and I was amazed at how many out there thought she was the end all and be all. It was after she was beaten up by her "BF". Many said they wish they were her or had her life and worshipful things like that. It was an eye-opener and I was still pretty new to Twitter so was especially shocking then.

Im not saying that he was right but I will say you cant help who you love. I do feel that it takes a real man not to hit a women but I must say we all know how to push their buttons. Do I think she was wrong for taking him back? No I dont. Also his probation was cut short because she dropped the charges like 4 or 5 months after it happened. I do hope that he changes his ways at least with her because he has no right to beat on her that way.

I have no respect for Rihanna, she could be a beautiful role model, but instead she likes the ganksta street type image. To many tatoos, I dislike most of her song choices and now I believe she is back or at least seeing that POS Chris Brown. For those of you that suffered abuse my heart goes out to you, I can understand when you have children and not much money how hard it must be to get away, but in Rihanna's case she has millions and no children.

No I wouldnt but thats me. I have more respect for myself but I do know people who have been beaten on and they are married and dont have any problems anymore. Some peopleit is a one time thing and you have to follow your heart.

She doesn't she wear a gun tatoo and use gun jewelry? I think I saw a recent necklace or something that was a jeweled little automatic or something like that. Could be she wasn't wearing it and it was just Tweeted about but she sure seems gansta to me. And didn't I hear that one of her songs seemed to glorify guns? She does seem to walk on the edge or over it. All I know is what I pick up on TV or the internet from pictures or links. I have never heard a single song or seen any performance of hers but I sure hear constant buzz about her.

She does have at least one gun tattoo. One was fairly recently after the "incident". She said the gun symbolized power or strength, something like that. I agree that she "seems" like a strong woman, but to me, seems like she is very co dependent and well, weak. Her "strong" persona seems to be her stage persona, much like Beyonce and her "Sasha Fierce". Anyway, I just worry for all the girls who look up to her. She may not want to be a role model, but the fact is, she IS.
