| Big Dog Clothing Taking Off in NYC? Move over Yorkie, New York pet fashion going to the (big) dogs - Yahoo! News Haha. I don't think it will gain momentum. What do you guys think? People usually get big dogs to look tough. And they have under coats, so not like they NEED a sweater like our yorkies do. $1000 dress oh puhleazzzze.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | hmmm, on the other hand, it DOES have it's good points too. I'm geussing that even the meanest looking big dog would look cute dressed up. I've tried to convince my daughter to let me make her big dog some stuff but she adamantly refuses. hahahaa As for the 1k dress...I've seen lots & lots of little dog dresses/suits for sale that cost even more (remember the dress all decked out in crystals to match that rich woman's shoes?!!)

| Haha! I don't think we'll ever see as many big dogs dressed up, but they are out there. My younger brother liked putting tshirts on our 85 pound Airedale. My neighbor cracked me up with the fancy raincoat she had on her Great Pyrenees. That isn't really fashion or that unusual, but it was quite a sight.

| i believe most owners of big dogs think dressing up is only for the small designer dogs. lol but like that article says even big dogs need to keep warm!! the prices all vary depending on materials used..but hey i wouldnt even buy myself a 1000 dress. haha.

| Oh no! I hope they don't try to dress dogs with heavy or long natural coats up and keep them in the same heated rooms that people are comfortable in for longer than a few minutes. Some will get so uncomfortable and hot. And big dogs are so glorious just as they are. Why hide that glorious beauty behind some awkward-looking pieces of cloth unless it is a coat/sweater for outdoors or for a few minutes at a function for fun?

| You know, I just don't think big dogs can compete with the little ones on cuteness. I'm sure it won't take off here in Central IL. LOL Most of the dogs you see here are hunting dogs except for the little ones. LOL Can you see someone taking their dog out hunting dear in a pretty pink dress. LOLOLOLO

| The big guys get chilly or cold just as the tiny ones otherwise they wouldn't be shaking on snowy days. I love to see the big guys wearing T's and a jacket over it when they go out on cold days. I'm sure they would appreciate being a bit warmer too.

| No doubt that people with big dogs sometimes want to dress them for warmth, but my point was, "designer" (and I use that term loosely) clothing for big dogs and dresses for $1000 taking off? Um no. Keep in mind, Alaskayorkie (sorry for dragging you into this Mike , like you're even paying attention ) Rusty, and now Lucy (big dogs) always out in the AK cold with no coat with Eddie and Jillie in coats and I always wondered why. Bc they have the undercoats that keep them warm, unlike yorkies. So clothing for big dogs really are *just* for looks. And attitude.
