Oh I hear you! I work in IT. I swear, there is not another more unstable job than IT anywhere! LOL Ive been laid off 5x, my husband is IT also (we do different things) and he's been laid off 4x. Luckily there is always another place to go who thinks they need our skills for another 2 -5 years. Oh well... hey right now I work for a Mortgage company also! I do development work for them, creating reports and maintaining the databases. There is no where for me to go, I have no clue about the industry, every other dept here is mortgage related except my job can go to any industry with a database who needs reporting. In that regard I'm lucky!

I get used a lot around here because I also have IT knowledge so I end up getting stuck fixing PC's and programs instead of them "bugging" our IT department lol
