As for the quake, it was a long way away and we didn't even feel it despite being awake. I got a breaking news alert from the newspaper website, so went online and saw the tsunami warning had been canceled quickly so didn't give it much thought.

Thanks, I have a lot of experience with putting my foot in my mouth and having to dig my way out!

Shhh, I'm trying to milk it for all it's worth! Major sympathy points going around!

It's easy to forget how big Alaska is. This quake was centered about 700 miles from Anchorage, in Southeast Alaska. That's sorta like a big earthquake hitting California and worrying about how people are doing in Utah.

It is easy to forget how big Alaska is! So glad there was no damage and no Tsunami. It did sound scary yesterday morning.
