Boots that stay on? I live in Vermont and we have lots of snow now. When it first snowed she loved running in the soft fluffy snow. Now that it is wet, icy, dirty and much colder (-7 day before yesterday) she goes out and within 1 minute she is holding her feet up and limping along because her feet are cold. It saddens be because it takes a lot to excite her and she was excited to be running in the snow. I've tried boots, socks and booties and none stay on. I'm hoping that some of you fellow New Englanders have come across this problem before and solved it. What footware do you recommend that will stay on. Thanks.

I recently got Wallee the pawz boots for the very same reason. They do not keep his feet warm but they do keep them dry and they actually stay on. I posted a thread earlier with a video even showing an easy way to get them on. You might want to check it out. Also if you are looking for warm, mutlucks come highly recommended.

The elastic allows you to get them as snug as you like without worrying about them being too tight. It's the same basic design used by sled dogs. I buy mine from a woman in Anchorage who also sells them online at Heidi & Company – Alaskan Dog Apparel and Accessories.

Both my dogs have booties, doesn't matter which ones as long as they have that velcro band that goes around the top of the leg after you put the bootie on. Make sure it's warm enough, which the better quality ones will be and tie that velcro band tightly around the "ankle" to secure. I bought my two different brand bootie at a petless pet shop called Global. It's all about the velcro band... Good luck.
