I had to go look in the medicine cabinet, it's meperidine which is Demerol and I was on a morphine drip at the same time so between the two mixed together I had an entire conversation with a deer and bunny that watched TV with me, a TV that was actually not even turned on

Normally he would but he managed to do something to his back throwing slate shingles at work so as soon as he drops off Guinness he gets to go to the Dr himself to see what kind of damage he did to his back we make such a great team right about now haha

I can not take morphine. It makes me so sick. I had to not even move my head not a inch. Now I say I am just allergic

My sister has Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD, though I think it has an extended name now...) Anyway, she wears compression sleeves and they really help to control her swelling and flare ups, so yes, they DO work! At any rate, it wouldn't hurt to try them! =) I hope you are feeling better! (No more bunnies and such...)

I've been so wrapped up with Mandie the last 36 hours, I didn't even see this thread. I'm glad all worked out with Guinness...one less stress off of you.

I'm sorry you have to deal with pain the way you do. I have fibro (it rarely flares up but when it does, it's a b*tch). I get migraines that make me want to rip hubby to shreds so he just stays away. And, I am certain that the pain you go thru eclipses any I have x1000. So, I may not understand your pain but I do understand that I'd not be able to handle it. Praying it eases up for you soon.

Also, I know you've been told to, but please get some rest! Stress and no sleep is just making your pain worse (as I know you know).

Never heard of RSD, all these dieases you are starting to hear more and more of are scary
My egg donor as I like to call the woman used drugs when pregnant so they think that is what caused the cartilage to harden and bones in my knee and legs not to form right causing 4 surgeries so far, lots of screws and pins and removing bone from my right leg so that is one of my issues... Next I was in a wreck in 94 where a girl ran a red light and went under the bed of my truck on my side one week to the day the truck was out of the shop I was in dead stop traffic on 95 and a lady did 70 MPH never hitting the brakes into the back of that same truck soo herniated disc and pinched nerves in my neck NEXT lol in 2003 I used to weight between 115-120 the start of the year by the end of the year I was almost 200 and scared to even leave my bedroom so after testing they found I have a pituitary brain tumor which the pituitary is pretty much a master gland because it effects so much stuff... Screws up your thyroid, causes memory to go, panic attacks, wild mood swings (sadly I have just punched somebody for calling me a little girl lol), can't handle weather changes. And most people that have the tumor also end up having fibromyalgia... Woohoo I got LUCKY and have that too hahaha
So I mainly just try to make jokes about it all and try my best to avoid pain and anxiety med's but sometimes I have no choice but to give in.

Yep, it is TERRIBLE to have your body falling apart more and more every day and you can't do anything about it THEN to have people tell you that you are "faking" it and just want attention. My sister refuses to go on any drugs to "control" her pain issues- she uses meditation and exercise. She also "bloomed" from about 120lbs to just over 200 because of her issues but lost a lot of it SUPER quickly this past year when her RSD caused her to start having soy and wheat intolerances. You lose weight pretty quickly when practically everything you eat makes you ill! =(
Like she says, staying positive is the only way to get through it but sometimes you just have to snap for a few days. (Her days like that usually come when she has overworked herself and ends up partially paralyzed for a few days.)
So anyway, (((GENTLE HUGS))) to you, again and I hope that you are able to have a nice relaxing weekend. =)

I become evil but in a nice way... Like one night when I was in a snap mode a girl asked me in front of a group why I did not like her... Bad timing... I nicely and calmly stated because I found her to be a sorry excuse for a woman and a mother because she did not pay attention to her kids when we were at a lake house one day and they could not swim and were in the lake as she wondered off to drink, that she was rude and disrespecting because she did not help the women cook or clean but she was the first person to make sure she had a plate piled high with food she wasted and then I turned to her boyfriend that she treats like crap and told him he was a good man and could do so much better and we only hung out with her so we could hang out with him and of course since I can't stop once I start I also had to tell her she had the largest forehead I had ever seen and that she might want to consider stopping wearing her hair pulled back.
It just happens and then the next day I feel bad for being so evil but nothing I can do at that point.

Weight part I was kinda lucky, when they put me on the medicine for my tumor I was told it would cause me to gain even more weight and my breast size to shrink.... I left that office that day depressed because the 200 lbs and cup size C size 14 or 16 was bad enough and it was killing my knees.... 3 months after being on the medicine I went back for a check up 140 lbs wearing Jr's size 7 and cup size DD... Which after 9 years same weight BUT cup size G!!!! Grrrrr

Oh it took everything I had not to... Another friend asked her to watch her 3 y/o for 2 min's while she used the restroom since she was sitting there... Our friend came back to see her daughter drinking pinesol thinking it was her apple juice.
