Another thing that gets to me is when someone says they are "praying to" someone, when they are actually "praying for" that person.

I've noticed what sounds like a lot of people waiting for gas in the NY, NJ area say they are waiting "on line" rather than "in line". Up there, did people used to have to wait for things on an actual painted line and this just carried on in the lingo through the decades? Or is my hearing just bad and they are saying "in line"?

I hear a lot (or alot

) of people say they wait on line. I always thought it was regional ??

The saddest part is that even after this post, people are still using the word there for their.

It's their hair, their diet, their food, their leash, their bath time.....not there.
